  1. Interested as well. I start in two weeks !
  2. nurseslabs.org!!! Bookmark it.. it will save your sanity!
  3. Before officially starting nursing school, I was on the President's list. After fundamentals I'm on the Dean's list! So excited :)
  4. I am so happy I found this thread! I'm looking too :)
  5. When I got my physical done for school, they did check my blood pressure and pulse. Etc etc.. as they do at every drs appointment lol. She didn't seem concerned! And my school never mentioned it either. It's been about a month since handing in my medical papers. You're heart rate is probably high because you're so nervous! Anxiety can effect heart rate, which is probably why mine has always been high. But, it's not a reason for your job to freak out. (not on its own) Not even close:) I'm sure your dr would have said something too if he thought your heart rate was a symptom or something lol
  6. I don't think a fast heart rate is enough for concern... I've always had a resting heart rate of 116 and I'm fine! Stop stressing:) If they have any questions I'm sure they'll contact you lol.
  7. I started school right after having my baby and took allllllll of my pre-reqs online! Two years worth. It was really simple. I wish I took courses online from the beginning...would've avoided having to withdraw from so many. But I didn't know it was an option til a couple years ago!
  8. Yay Congrats!!!
  9. I've been trying to figure that out too. I really hope I don't have to wait until orientation for a supply list because it would only give us 2 weeks to gather everything. Not possible! I need to know how much I'm looking at spending lol. (I go to a different school; just venting lol).
  10. Following !! :)
  11. Same. Like I said in a similar forum, if someone asks me why I'm going to school, I'm saying nursing. Like I wouldn't be taking classes period if I weren't going to be a nurse. Obvi if I have to tell financial aid what my "major" was it would have to be whatever it specifies on my transcript. Liberal Arts.. [emoji42][emoji42][emoji42] So anyway the second I applied to take courses I said I was a nursing student:)
  12. Wait, 45 minutes or miles?
  13. If my grandmother asks me what I'm going to school for, I'll say nursing. Whether I'm accepted into the program or not, I'm not going to go into technicalities every time someone asks me why I'm going to school. Now, if I have to fill out an official form of some sort, I'll write that my major is Liberal Arts because that's what is says on my transcript.
  14. Awww!! I know how you feel. But don't worry this too shall pass. Plan a nice vacation next summer!! :) Youre only 18, it's fine to want to relax during summer. Up until now that's what summer has been for ! Think of taking this course as confirmation that you're ready for nursing.. understand that you gaining something by seeing this through. Plus, if those friends are making fun of you, going on vacation w/ them might not be that great.. Do you have other friends you can doing something spectacular with when your course is done?
