I applied to start the nursing program in the Fall. My GPA is good, but its right on the borderline of getting accepted and not getting accepted. I'm driving myself crazy waiting to get that letter!!
I go to the mall or I go to a store and I see a watch, shoes, etc. and think "Oh, that would be a perfect for clinicals." Everyone keeps asking me when I start clinicals and I always say "Fingers crossed for August."
But seriously I'm going crazy with this waiting game. The first week of March cannot get here soon enough!!!!
How is everyone else coping?!
I am in the same boat as all of you; I have applied to 3 schools, 2 comm. college programs, and one bsn program. They all had diff application deadlines so I know I'll be hearing from them at different times, but the wait is killing me! I check the status of 2 of my applications online a few times a day, and I'm going crazy, haha. I think that within the next few weeks I will start to hear back, but time is going so slowly. I just want the rest of my life to begin! (I am 26 and have 1 child, and have been working my butt off to get to this point). Good luck to everyone!
The wait is killing me too! I finally broke down and called them this morning! I mailed in my application back on Dec. 21 and hadn't heard anything. The deadline was today, but I wasn't sure if we were supposed to receive confirmation letters or emails saying they had received our applications, and we don't get acceptance letters until April. I spoke with the lady who was processing the applications and she confirmed that she did have mine and it was being reviewed, so that was a weight off my shoulders.
Only 2 more months to go!
Some of us have no backups because only one program will suit our needs (childcare, traveling distance, cost, etc.). So, we may appear disorganized, but in reality, we are doing the best with what we have.
I have been waiting for ever! Our application deadline changed, the rules have changed, and now everything is up in the air. I was finding it hard to wait already. Now, call it a nightmare and leave it at that!! I know I have great grades and have taken all the pre-reqs and most of the co-reqs (except for the one I am taking now). So the waiting game has gotten longer and longer, and I still have no clue what the decision from on high will be as to what they are going to do with the program. Last year I didn't get in because I didn't have enough co-reqs under my belt. I was stalking the mailman for a while and the applications were 3 weeks late!!! Now, here I am again.
i emailed the admissions person that i am in contact with....asked her if there was ANYTHING else i could do for a better chance at getting in.....she said at this point there is nothing....i sent in my app, completed my pre reqs..doing A & p now...i also sent in 2 letters of recommendations along with my transcripts from LPN school, which they did not ask for...but hey....anything that will help!!!....she verified they the review committee did receive them and that i probably wont hear til after my class ends in may....that way they will know what kind of "science" student i am....
i am driving myself NUTS!!....this is ALL i think about!!
I caved last week and called the school to ask when they were sending out letters. I mailed my app. in on Dec. 21 so I've been waiting awhile! The final date to submit applications was March 1 and she said they would be mailing letters the last week in March or the first week in April. Aaaahhh!!!!
Waiting waiting waiting here too. Turned my application in two weeks ago but it isn't even due for another week. Letters will likely go out the third week of April. So I have six more weeks of this. I have great stats but the program only has 20 spots so until I have that letter in my hand I'm going to be anxiously waiting.

All applications in... Now the waiting begins... Patience is a virtue I suppose. (one I'm not very good at lol)
