The 27th is coming fast and I am SCARED!!!

Published

I am so scared and nervous! I get sick just thinking about it! I have been studying doing saunders, Lippincott, Kaplan and some others. I am nervous because on the Kaplan I have been getting 64%, 53%, 61%, 60% and my test is on the 27th which is in 2 days!!!! What should I do???? I have been an LPN for 2 years and took the NCLEX-PN, but I know that the PN is somewhat different and more difficult then the RN. Any advice???? I am freakin!!!!

i'm taking my test tomorrow also...and i'm soooo nervous. i did two reviews and have been using Saunders review. I did about 2000 questions, and i'm still nervous..i just feel like its not possible to know everything. Everytime i do another set of questions i learn a few more things...does anyone feel like this...and have you passed even though you feel this way? :crying2:

I learned alot from those darn questions...everytime I looked at them..what I didn'y know I even sometimes looked it up and that helped to really ground it in my mind...........but I agree with you...there's no way you can know everything................this test is set up , it knows you can't possibly know it all............it expects you to know the minimun amount....but it also is set up to pick up on if you know how to delegate, priortize, and make the best judgement...and use critical thinking, which is a major difference bewteen the LPN and RN. The test is also testing your knowledge base on MS and maturnity, Peds, ect....but concentrates on the other areas to..........

My test shut off at 75 and I had questions in all areas but alot were in critical thinking, delegation and priortization. I took my time and thought every question out very carefully. I did that on my practice questions and that training seemed to helped me out alot...

I wish you the best luck.... and were here rooooting for you....THRESSA

It's over, and what a long drive it was back...., never noticed how far I am from DC until today. It was the longest hour I have ever felt every second of. Well it shut off at 75 and I don't care how many times you hear about it, you're not ready for it no matter what. I had seemed like 15, probably was more like 10-11, choose all that apply and 5 math questions, not regular math.....math like calculate IV pitocin to the minute/gtt/ml kinda math....arrgh!!! 44 hours and counting!

I also took my exam today and had the same pitocin question!!!! OMG that question killed me..I must have did it like ten times. Was it like 10 units of pitocin in a 1000 L bag and the drip rate was 60gtt? I think i got it wrong because I had two or three more math questions. I also shut at 75...I hope what people are saying is true....90 percent of people pass if their computer shuts at 75!!!!

I was thinking the same thing, and those choose all that apply, I was shaking and actually was hoping to get more regular questions, like past 75 (To mentally redeem myself...LOL). Now that I am breathing again, I remember mostly prioritizing questions. Who should the nurse see first......ALL of them!!!!....it was totally way too close.....Like;Bleeding to death and barely dying or bleeding to death and kinda dying???!!! I expected to be challanged, but I was stumped. :crying2:

Good luck to everyone who took NCLEX today! I'm taking it Friday and trying my very best to remain calm-which is hard to do! I feel your pain if you took the exam today and are going nutty trying to be patient while waiting for the results, cuz I am going nutty waiting to TAKE the stupid thing! I wish I could've scheduled myself to take it earlier but couldn 't cuz all previous dates in my area were booked already. Oh well...about 3.5 days left! It honestly feels like test day is never going to arrive! I feel like I'll be old and gray and still posting in here that now I'm up to having done 156, 789, 056 practice questions and hey, almost time for my NCLEX! :) Just kidding! I think I have a lot of nervous energy! Maybe I should go for a 7 hour walk or something! :uhoh3:

I took mine today. It shut off at 75 and the tears started as soon as I got in the car. I am sooooo scared!!! I got 4 or 5 check all that apply, one math question. I didnt delegate to a PCA or nursing assisstant at all and THAT is why I am soooo scared. There were a couple when I was a charge nurse and who I should give someone you got pulled to another unit. I had labs and signs and symptoms and what should I do first. I am freaking!!!!! I don't think I KNOW I got more then 10 questions right....and thats pushing it. I am scared and feel like I dont even want to know my results.
