The Stalking Has Begun!

Published

Well, I am awaiting an acceptance/denial letter from Baker. They told us we would have them by Feb. 15th. I told myself I wouldn't start stalking the mailman until the end of January, but today, I found myself planted in front of the window for one hour waiting for the truck. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this waiting? It is absolutely brutal!

Yoga? Xanax? Sigh.

I am just trying to concentrate on losing my baby weight from my last child, she will be 2 in May. I don't want to look like a big marshmallow. :) Because I WILL be wearing a marshmallow-esque type outfit this year!!! lol

Yes you will Gem! You will be wearing that white uniform at Baker! Don't worry about the weight, I am sure you look great!

I totally understand, I remember doing that the first time around. This time, I am not even thinking of it, but my husband is...LOL If I forget the mail, he runs out to get it. So he is stalking the poor mailperson.. I am just thrilled that I passed my state test for CNA yesterday and that stress is now over. I am now a legal butt wiper...LOL So I am going to run around and look for jobs, and with this state being as it is, it will take me until April to find a job....so that should take up any of my thinking about the "rejection", lol, letter from baker. I am pessimistically optimistic...(sp) I have to laugh, because at the state testing site yesterday, the people were "impressed" with my skills and that I passed everything with no problems and they stated that I really should be going for RN...I laughed and told the woman I have been trying for over 1 year now to get accepted somewhere...:banghead:

Congratulations on passing your exam and good luck with finding a job!

Congratulations! I hope you find a job quickly! AND get accepted to NS!

Congrats, Panks!!

Gem and Jabraham - did you both apply to MCC as well as Baker this year? If you get accepted to both, which will you choose?

I applied to both.

If I get into both, I will go to Baker, it starts sooner, and I will know first. A bird in the hand and all that.

BUT, I have a question about MCC's program. There are four start dates. How many weeks are the classes? How does that work exactly. I am confused.

I wanted to add, that Baker's program could start before we even find out about MCC. That would be why I would choose the first one.

I think MCC is typically 16 weeks. I know Baker's program is a little shorter because of the 10 week thing, but not by much. I'm not familiar with MCC's four start dates - I have never heard of that until now.

Actually, in MCC's program most are 8 week classes (some might be 4). I love it. You need to learn a lot in a short amount of time but it goes by super fast.

If you look at the catalog of classes for winter 2009. The nursing classes are only either 8 or 4 weeks long. That is where I got all confused.

Now, if I could potentially be done at MCC before I would finish at Baker, I would have to consider it.
