The secret of a fulfilling nursing career

Accepting our fate is the key.An ass remains an ass even if it changes location:

It is imperative that nurses stop the complaining and face reality. From nursing school we were already informed that we nurses are asses that will bear the burden of care and other members of the IDT will just walk along. Why are we now complaining as though we don't know we are asses. No matter what change you make you will still remain an ass. Whenever you accept a nursing job look at your job description and you will discover you are an ass. Whether you run to dialysis, you remain an ass. An ass will always remain an ass as long as it was born an ass. So long as you remain a nurse, you remain an ass. Carry all the burden of care where ever you are. No complaining. A wise man said, " A lizard in Africa does not become an alligator in America" No matter the sector of nursing you run to you still remain an ass. Meditate 2000x over when you are at work saying to yourself, "I am an ass" then you will never burnout.

What on earth did I just read?

Then am I to assume Major Nurse = Major Ass?

Interesting post. All that talk about ass made me think you were talking about a different sort of job.

I think he means donkeys, but I still feel dumber having read that.

Please rephrase... you are AGAINST wine in a box?

There have been many posts where I refer to nurses.. being worked like mules to make money for the man. Mules may have been a better choice of word, but I see you are going for the attention grabber.

We do not have to remain mules, if we stand together. If YOU choose to do so, WHO is the azz ?

Speaking of AZZ.. I sit on mine working from home, making 6 figures. You should try it sometime.

Yes! People drink the whole box and then they share their "deep thoughts" that don't make a whole lot of sense.

A box of wine will keep for a couple of weeks. I find that if I have a box of wine, I drink just one glass and put the wine away. If I open a bottle, we drink the whole thing. And then I usually am too tipsy to share my "deep thoughts" with anyone except my husband, who isn't listening anyway. I'm against wine in a bottle.
