I know some here have recommended putting Vicks vapor rub under your nose if you have trouble handling the smell when your working with.. less than clean things.. anyways.. I found something today thats less noticable.. and its easy to carry around..
They now have ChapStick brand Vicks Vapor Action Chapstick.. I used it today, and boy its great.. Just letting you guys know if anyone was in clinicals and wanted to try it out.. its better than having it on your upper lip all day :chuckle

I used to use Vicks during clinicals too!!! Works great esp. when you have to deal with the aftermath of G tube feedings!!

Here's something funny I remember from a long time ago. I worked with an orderly, back them the orderlys did the enemas, preps, etc on male pts, anyhoo, when he had to give an enema, he rolled up pieces of toilet paper and stuffed his nose holes with it. He looked like a walrus. LOL, I bet the pt felt bad about it.
