Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:

1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?

2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?

3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.

Not much left to add. Says it all.

don't forget hipaa.......

my all time personal favorite is some version of:

i ran into a friend while they were visiting family at the hospital where i work.

they told me what was wrong with their family member.

now i know the person's diagnosis, but they're not my patient........

did my friend violate hipaa by telling me?

have i violated hipaa by knowing ?

"So, I failed my exam back home, why won't Canada let me be a nurse for the prestige? Which province will give me license with passing the exam? If I can't be an RN, I'll settle for LPN becuz we never give up our dreamzz. Oh and its like $600 dollars for the exam thatz no fair. I'm new here."\

Read the international threads, these are all too real and regular posts. When you attempt to explain Canada is a huge country and you just can't hop over to the next province to get a license without expecting it to cost money, we are destroying their dream and just plain old racists.

And when people tell posters "not to give up on their dreams" after having failed their exam multiple times....this annoys me to no end. If you can't pass the NCLEX or the CRNE after three attempts and years of nursing school, there IS something wrong, and it isn't the system that's flawed. Some people are not meant for nursing. Plain and simple.

I know that people really want to know if they will be cut out for a job or even like it for the long haul. I get this. I researched my choice for over 2 years before taking the plunge, but when I would see these titles I always wanted to respond with "The Magic 8 Ball says Not right now.". Lol

Because I really like taking care of my kids and I just LOVE old people and animals. I have talked to 10 different nursing schools and they all say I have to take ALL the pre-reqs for Nsg? It will take SO LONG. Don't they KNOW I was an animal nurse in high school?

i want work asnewgrad.bsn in cali but d.bon there is rcist? shld i just be lvn.? or work in a different state i dont want 2 be in til i get to cali.?

I try to stay away as those really anger me. But like a train wreck sometimes I can't not look. Keep the Tums nearby.

butt u need to hlp me NOW! I dnt want 2 deal wit old ppl who r rude and obnoxious & cnt wipe their own poo and dress themselves. i wanna work by myself when ima nrs. i dont wanna work wit those who are know it alls. itsa waste of my talents.

I don't wanna work with old people, I don't like having 2 wipe butts, and deal with ppl who yell. I just wanna work w/ babys n little kids were I dont gotta deal w/that. It's my dream. I failed anatamy and physlogy but I know, i just know its my dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watched FAME and GLEE and all those guys have a dream to be famus and they MADE IT and I no I can to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
