I can just see an employer telling an Italian RN to put on a pair of roller skates to get her job done........ a few hand gestures & facial expressions & a simple "Ehhhhhhhhhhh..........." would be all thats needed to show him the error of his ways.

Not just the Midwest. I can relate & I'm in NYC! We still have our A&W right where it always was. Before McDonalds was a national symbol, our big night out once a month was for all 5 of us kids to pile into the station wagon with Mom & Dad & go out for dinner....... to the A&W! The trays ALWAYS fell off the window & into the car - root beer everywhere. But I never saw one of those girls miss a step. They were our "entertainment". It was big night out! : )

I read in a paper where they were doing it in a Japanese ER also. I have many times said I needed roller skates, but I too would end up a pt at the ER myself.
I would end up in the bed next to the pt. with im sure a few fractures somewhere!
