The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
How to Apply for a Scholarship
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
Scholarship requirements:
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
Nursing (including RN, ADN, BSN, and graduate-level nursing programs)
Nurse Practitioner
Certified Nurse-Midwife
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
Scholarship award covers:
Tuition and Eligible Fees
A monthly stipend for living expenses
An annual other reasonable costs payment

OMG.....I'm so sad right now!!! It sounds like everyone got their emails this morning. I've been checking mine all day and nothing. It looks like most people who got the emails are already well into the program. I wonder if me needing 3 years of aid is keeping me from getting the scholarship. :crying2:

Okay did I miss something. I am trying to fax in my info and it says thank you for calling the conference center please enter your password?? Anyone else having trouble?? Maybe I just need to go to kinkos and have it faxed...
I had to go to a public faxing center, because mine wouldn't work either :/
I just want to encourage both of you right now...I read all the posts throughout the day and really felt like my faith was being tested...I even texted my husband that I was positive I did not get the scholarship.
It's not over!!! There is just no way that they sent out 500 emails today...please be encouraged that you still have a chance...go do something nice for your husband/wife/kids/family member/friend...it will make you feel better!!

i had some problems faxing, i called my analyst and he said there was no problem with the fax machine. i tried a third time and it went through. i'd advise you to call your analyst and confirm the # with them. im now trying to confirm that they received my fax but no answer. i did get a fax confirm but i want to make sure they got all my documents.

Normally, single people with no dependents will file 0 dependents.
I faxed my forms but I'm so worried that something will be messed up. Is anyone else calling or emailing their analyst to confirm receipt of documents?

I emailed mine to see if I could get confirmation. Haven't gotten an answer yet, but I do want to make sure.
I just got my email tonight...so everyone whos still waiting keep an eye out...im 0efc from NH, i never checked my credit so im not sure if it got checked!
