The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

For those that got an email, would you mind telling us what time you recieved it. I'm in Southern Calif
I'm going crazy over here. Single mom of two, 0 EFC, I've applied to 8 ADN programs and didn't get into one for this fall because all the jr. colleges are so impacted. Of course the only one I got accepted to is a private BSN program which is way more than I could afford. If I don't get the scholarship, might have to change career paths which will break my heart!
Congrats to all those who got the email....That is great news :)
I am also going to a private school. I got the email at 632AM and again at 711AM this morning. I have been monitoring my credit and I haven't seen any new inquiries on there. Don't get discouraged, it seems as though people were notified throughout the day at different times. Keep on praying.
Just sent in my documents!
And to those asking about credit checks, I'm only seventeen. I'm entering my first year at a private university. That said, being my age and in my position, I can't even participate in credit checks because I have no profile.
That would make me believe that credit reports did not go into the consideration for this point. I think the main purpose of them is to make sure that students who have actually begun some schooling have not defaulted on loans or anything.
What I mean to really say, is that if I'm not able to be part of checks, then it clearly wasn't that adamant to proceeding to the next round.
OMG I got one too!!!!!! CHECK YOUR SPAM! That's where mine was. I am SOOOOOOO glad I have been following this thread...otherwise I wouldn't have thought to check the spam folder!
My stats.... first funding group, I live in SoCal, single mom to one, 0 EFC, headed to an accelerated second degree program at a public university in a different state. Last name "N". I got the email twice....once at 628 and once at 711.
We are going to be filling out W4s and signing the contract (pending final approval, I guess)....hopefully they will take us all!
I am so excited! I know its not guaranteed...but I take this as a MAJOR good sign!
Congrats to everyone else and keep praying, those that haven't yet.
