The HRSA Nursing Scholarship

Updated:   Published

The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.

HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.

All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.

The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.

Scholarship requirements:

To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Nursing (including RN, ADN, BSN, and graduate-level nursing programs)
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Certified Nurse-Midwife

You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.

Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.

Scholarship award covers:

  • Tuition and Eligible Fees
  • A monthly stipend for living expenses
  • An annual other reasonable costs payment

If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

it is awesome, it is nice to see the peope who are stressing with me:cheers:

Never mind :(

did you try the log in bcris link that was posted, it should work as long as you have your name and password..try and let us know:redpinkhe

How is everyone holding up waiting? Thankfully my classes have started so I have something else to focus on other than waiting on hrsa.

I am just praying that everyone can get this scholarship, and the wait is killing me! At this point I'm thankful that my school is only about $5k a semseter as opposed to the $30k plus that a lot of ppl on here say they are paying.

Yay for the facebook group! Just gives me one more thing to look at other than doing homework :)

Hello!

I talked to CF today.. she said that the letters are slowly going out, but that ours (assuming she meant the people in her group) have not gone out yet. And that sometime this week they'll be out. Plus, and I quote "I think they will also be sending out an email too." -CF

I can't take the waiting anymore! I'm glad that CF is talking to those who are calling her...I'm assuming that even though ours (CF's people) haven't gone out yet that they will be going out eventually this week? I'm afraid to call and ask her, I'm sure she has had enough calls already! I wish they would just let us know what day they are sending them out so we can kind of know when to check for them. I wish they would've just sent out emails, I don't really see the problem with emails as opposed to snail mail.

I know! I totally agree. Of course, nothing in the mail for me today. I'm in California. HA, i love how I'm assuming that I have already been selected. Oh, what a disappointment it would be for me if I am not. Too optimistic! :D
