The Cold Shoulder?

This is what it feels like on this forum. Could someone please enlighten me?

I just joined and have had no responses to my first 2 posts, even though I see people have read them.

I've only had people respond to me who want to argue about homebirthing.

oh well.

Hi! I'm new too. Needed a place filled with people who have some understanding of this HUGE area of my life. I absolutely love my job and taking care of babies. Thanks for posting on the homebirth thread! It's an interesting topic.

Looking forward to gettng to know this board and the folks on here.

A lot of times I just don't have an answer for people. The more specific the question, the fewer of us can respond. This is especially the case when asking about specific workplaces.

I realize we're all very busy...just wanted to say hi! Thanks for making me feel more welcome now.

I agree with the debates issues, I don't have time to get my blood pressure elevated about hot topics, so I'll try to stay away from them!;)

:) Hi I did see your post. I gave birth to two of my children at home. Both boys. :)

I thought I just posted that I do not want to get into debates about homebirths! This thread is not about that. You can read the homebirth thread and see my opinions about it. good try, though.

BTW: I gave birth to 3 children, all in the hospital.:lol2:

Right, because there are thousands of hospitals out there! Plus, many of us choose not to reveal where we work to keep a little anonymity.

kimbalou, i don't think angels' was trying to start a debate on this thread. i didn't take it taht way when i read it. i took it as her acknowledging your previous posts you seemed so stressed about.

theses boards are full of really nice people. you don't have to be on the defensive all the time, really.

I'm not on the defensive, I just don't want to debate hot issues like homebirths. I realize my posts were read and responded to on that thread...I am talking about my post introducing myself that was not responded to. I have expressed myself enough about my stance agianst homebirths, so I don't want to talk about it here.;)

And, I'm sure there are a lot of nice people here. I don't wish to reveal where I work, either, like someone else mentioned. I didn't mention any details about which Kaiser hospital, there are lots of those, too.

Glad that's sorted out :). Please be aware that often times not responding is just a way of silently saying we don't know. I'd have a whole mess more posts if I responded professing my ignorance in every thread I opened to which I had nothing to contribute ;).
