I love the BB. I was wondering something. (I havent been here long).

Some situations at work are discussed in detail here. Has anyone ever been "found out" at work? I mean someone writing back and saying "That was me"! How dare you...bla...bla....bla.

Or god forbid...NOT...if we were discussig administration or something, and they saw it and thought...I know who that nurse is...im going to get her/him.

Just a though here. I think I would just have it laugh it off if someone said anything to me at work about one of my posts.

But then just discussing a situation couldnt be liable could it? We dont really say anything bad about an individual just the situations themselves.

Just a thought. I swear im not paranoid. :confused: :cool:

That's funny because I have thought of that too...there are so many members on this board some are bound to know others.Obviously, if your screen name is different than your real name, they would be hard pressed to prove who said what. I wouldn't really worry about it.

I heard one report of someone getting into trouble at work over what they said here. They were told on by a co-worker. That is the only time but their maybe others.

Like Sue said, unless you use your real name and use the name of your facility, I have no idea how they could prove it was you.

I'd have to say most of the situations here are not really unique.

Plus, it's sad that there is so much commonality in many situations we see here that oftentimes posters are convinced another poster MUST be working in their facility. But alas, no - there are just idiots being griped about everywhere lol.

I have read a couple of different posts where the member reported she had been too specific and had been identified by a co-worker. One had pleasant consequences, the other was not so pleasant.

A good reason to not use one's given name or facility (some people don't even identify their state) and to be somewhat circumspect and thoughtful when posting and when establishing a profile. Slander and libel are still against the law.

The flip side of this is that none of us would want to be readily identified as the target of a post by some co-worker who happened to be irritated with, annoyed by, or simply hated us personally.
