I am new - both to the forum and am one week away from the first clinicals in my LPN Program so have patience with me!

Just wanted to say hiyas to all and thanks for this board! I have a lot of reading to do here plus no experience so I won't have a whole lot to say for a while! (I can't keep my mouth shut tho so I am sure I will be popping up with stupid questions quite a bit!)

I am trying to learn all I can both in the classroom and out here in the "real world" about the profession I have been called to - So thank you again to all who share your experiences and knowledge!

You just do the best you can. If you look at the top of the page there is a TODAY'S ACTIVE THREADS link. Now the current events and the break room aren't there but all the rest are.

I too love your screen name!

DITTO !!! :D Welcome aboard. Looking forward to hearing more from you. Jump right in. ;)

Thanks again

And lol - I kinda thought the name suited me - as I kinda have trouble staying on the serious side all the time -

On our first day of class the head of the Nursing department was talking about the fact that we had 5 males in our class of 30 - She said something about it being hard for us guys to find shoes and said the only problem they ever had with men was shoes

Me being me, I couldn't help it - I piped right up and said that no woman I had ever known in my life and certainly no woman I had ever dated had ever said the only problem with men was shoes

The class laughed - but I got one of THOSE looks - and that isn't the last of THOSE looks I have recieved from the instructors since then either
