I am so sorry you are going through this. All nurses need to remember that many times family is as much a priority as the patient. Like I tell all my families, please try to rest and be sure you are eating and staying hydrated.
Thank you. His nurse kicked me out and told me to go eat something. So I'll do that. I just hope the good news continues.
Well my stubborn father has shocked us all. We go from deciding that we may have to remove life support to him now saying one word responses and moving both arms. We can't wait to see what further improvements occur. I'm just glad we are off the vent. Thank you for all of your kind words in this very difficult time.
I am so sorry you are going through this..... I know how hard it was with my Dad about 3 years ago.
After a lifetime in critical care, I have come to know with confidence that......... there is only one person who knows the time line of our lives and HE's not sharing. My prayers for you and your familiy.

I am in the ICU with a terminally ill family member. I am pretty much in my own dealing with this as my family is beyond dysfunctional. The nurses here are making me feel welcome and are consoling me as things worsen. Thank you to those who are taking the extra step to help me through this.
