5th try and PASSED

Published

I PASSED!!!!! 85 questions and comp shut off!!!

this is my 5th time taking it so i am so happy right now

im jumping up and down

these past two days have been hell for me cause i was so shocked it shut off at 85

all the other times ive taken it it was 150, 180, 265, 265 and finally only 85!!!

i was out of that exam in less than 90 minutes!!

Congratulations !

julieannfl,

aww you were following up on my post? how sweet!! =)

i didnt get one repeated question. I GOT ALL PRIORITY and like 3meds and 1 herbal med.

it was all who would u assess first from four different patients, d/c first, and basic assessments.

got nothing basic like what they teach us in nursing school (no chest tubes, no digoxin (suprisingly), etc...

it didnt even get medications that ended in "lol" "pril" etc..

when u take your exam...be calm and take it as if it was just another "practice test"

from all the other times ive taken it i over studied. yes, i over studied.

this past month, i just studied whenever i could...just be calm and cool about it

we know our stuff its the anxiety that takes over us..

also from all the other times ive taken it, i didnt get one single question that was on the previous exams.

i have so much weight off my shoulders!!!

i have my wedding to plan for sept 30!!! so all my focus is going on that and not NURSING, HAHA

that was another i was so pressured into passing was because im getting married and no job!! hahaah

but now my life has changed

when are u taking your exam julieannfl. let me know if u need anything.

Congrats!!!!!:balloons: I'm so very happy for you! True, now you can change your name to RN722 as someone suggested up there..:) I take mine June, 13th...

I am taking it May 25 early in the morning. I have already put myself into panic mode and right now I have Saunder's CD going, the book that goes along with it (trying to go over all the labs and memorize the values phosphorus, magnesium, troponin, Glucose tolerance test, etc etc) I don't remember if they went a lot into those last time, but just in case I want to be prepared. Here is what I remember the most without giving too much:

Majority was on Renal Failure (with of course 2 sounding correct) critical thinking kicks in for sure!!

Bike safety (anyone have this)??

Herbs!!!! (too many to name)

hemodialysis

oxygen safety (very in depth)

Cancer

implanted seeds

MANY on anticoag drugs (did I say MANY) LOL

blood gases (loved those)....=-)

positioning before, during & after procedures!!

Well, anyhow thanks for posting if I need anything. I need to really stay focused and PASS so I can do what I am supposed to be doing NURSING!!

PS Planning a wedding!!! How exciting!!!! Is it going to be indoors or outdoors CONGRATS!!

congratulations on passing your exam, you should be SO proud of yourself--also thanks for giving me hope, I've taken it four times and haven't passed so maybe #5 will be the one for me--best wishes RN 722 :)

:balloons: cong[color=olive]ratulations :balloons:

:lol2: ;) way to go ;) :lol2:

This is reasuring. Here in Nevada you only get 3 tries. However, if I go next door to California, it's unlimited. I plan on taking it my first time next month (scared).
