Hey everyone, i will like you all to please keep me in prayers. i will be taking NCLEX RN for the 5th time on June 24th; I truly believe am going to pass; am so calm about this test and not afraid. After using so many resources i decided to just focus on a 97 pg review. Thanks in advance

I passed the NCLEX first try by only using Saunders along with the Kaplan Qbank and its live lecture ($500 package). I didn't even read a page of Kaplan's book that came with the package because it seems to be boring to read. So I used the Saunders instead.

Hi Character11, I will be praying intensely for you. I understand what you are going through because I myself in the same boat like you. I don't know your history after graduation. I have quite a story to tell. I am using the Hurst review now and the 97 pages study guide as well and will use the NYSBN-Learning-ext for practice questions. This will be my last time taking the NCLEX. I speak it into existence. Character11, you will pass the NCLEX. Please don't over analyze on the NCLEX. That's also my weakness. You will do well. Keep Strong and remember, the race is not for the swift nor the battle to the strong but to those that endures to the end.
Thank you so much; God knows I really need this. Its been a little over 2 years since graduation. I have a long history but to make it short, I started off with just Kaplan(utilizing everything on the program) which was free for me by the school; had a yr worth of access to it. 1st time taking it, i didn't know what i was doing so I failed at 75 and i wasn't mad. Second time taking it I failed by one question at 265. i used Kaplan, and la charity and exam cram. Took a little break; got pregnant and tested the 3rd time in mid pregnancy and failed at 75 by using NCSBN, little bit of Saunders and Hurst. The 4th time I was for sure I was going to pass as my church helped pray for me and my pastor called me that morning praying for me on the phone right before testing but unfortunate i failed at 126 and i used NCSBN, Hurst and more Saunders questions and skimmed through 35pg that was floating around. 3 months later I moved to a different state with my family. Its been 6 months now but while studying all these times, I realize that am studying to memorize instead of understanding and I tend to catch myself not answering what exactly the question is asking and sometimes I struggle with the topic of the question. I am very weak on Pharm and still am. For me I realize I needed to build up on my content and figuring out how to pick the best option. For some reason when it comes down to two options, I almost always pick the wrong one.

for Hurst did you do the live review or online review....and why would this be your last time taking the exam.... i'll both for all of you guys...i myself is taken a break and hitting the book again in July....i actually signed up for the Hurst live review class and i also have the 97 study guide....but from my experience the test is not all about memerizition is how you answer the question at hand.

hi character11 i m also exactly in a same boat....but now i am confused to do what?i think nwhite 0128 is right.
this will be my third time around....grant it i was able to answer some questions form the study guide but not all.....obviously....i'm not going to knock it just use it as a resource and work on my weakness which is to understand what the actual question is asking.....good luck everyone again i realize i had a bunch of typo in my prior post....sorry
The reason I said this will be my last time taking the exam. Because, I believe by Faith & the Grace of God that I will pass this time. I also changed up my study materials as well. I like Hurst. I needed a good content base and Hurst I believe is the best. I graduated since 2008 and I couldn't do the NCLEX-RN then because of situations beyond my control. But, thank God I can do my NCLEX now and I am persevering to pass. In time we all will pass. 2014 is our year to pass. I put myself through Nursing School and I will reap the benefits of it. Stay Strong everyone and keep pressing to reach your goal.
