... this is the 8th time of me doing this nclex rn exam

"...If you have taken and failed the NCLEX exam three times or more please contact the Vermont Board of Nursing Office for information."

I failed too the 3rd time, can you give me a headstart as to what I must expect them to tell me when I "contact (them)...for information"? What will they require so i will be allowed to retake again?

Do you remember what type of questions you had? I failed the first time and made sure to learn what precautions to use for various infections and that helped alot, on top knowing who to see first priority wise. I hope your 8th time is the charm for you this time.

dont giv eup Im on my fourth time with the Pn exam i am too working on suzzannes plan I never felt more prepared with her plan,we can do it!!!!:up:I came close all 3 times

Call VT BON (802)-828-2396 and just tell them your case and what are the things you have to do in order for you to take NCLEX the third time.

I truly admire your courage and perserverance. What a wonderful asset to have.:D I recommend Suzanne's Plan and reading the Random Facts Thread and Infection Control Thread. Keep a positive attitude and I am hoping for and wishing you the best of luck.:heartbeat

GOOD LUCK!!!

how strong you are!!! you are doing the best thing by not giving up and staying positive about the nclex. i will be testing for my 4th time this october. i am now working on suzanne's plan, and i strongly suggest you continue with that also. you have made it this far!

it may seem discouraging, but you are not alone. you can do this and you will succeed. focus on studying questions and read and re-read the rationales to every question whether you get them wrong or right. study content, not just test taking strategies. best wishes to you. :)

p.s. remember this is just a test.

me, too. this will be my fifth, as well. good luck to you both and everyone else re-taking. we will stay on the path until we get to the other side...to pass!:yeah:

You're not alone. I too am using Suzzane's Plan and this is my 4th attempt. Don't lose faith and keep praying.I know how frustrating it can be, but you can do it! Take care and God Bless...

Is there a limit as to how many times you should sit for the NCLEX-RN exam or does it varry from board to board. Again, after how many times is one supposed to do a refresher course?

It varies from BON to BON but on average is 3 times and then a course

WOW! You inspire me! you're showing us how human spirit should be! STRONG, DETERMINED, and RESILIENT! Go! BRING THAT NCLEX DOWN FOR THE LAST TIME. Good luck and God bless. Youre Amazing!!!!!

I too failed on my 1st try. I made the mistake of going in the afternoon with a group from school. As not everyone will pass/fail with the same amount of questions, and everyone answers questions at a different rate of time...I paniced when 1 by 1 those I knew were done.

The 2nd time I went by myself, took a pack of Bubble Yum and chomped my way to a 75/PASS.

Now after 11 Years out of school and 5 away from pt.care...I find myself needing to once again take the test. If you have not done so before try Suzanne's NCLEX REVIEW.

GOOD LUCK ALL!

Just curious. Why would you have to take NCLEX again? In every state that I know of, once you pass that's it, even if you move to another state (because it's a national test). You might have to jump over other hurdles, but I have never heard of anyone who passed NCLEX having to take it again.

i'm guessing you have a livestrong bracelet :chuckle hehe just kiddin' but yeah don't give up! stay focus, find different ways of studying and stick to it. What was your study habit while you were in school? Maybe you can implement that when you study for the NCLEX?

anyhoo, good luck on your NCLEX!
