Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!
I have finished the application. It took 5 days. I received a non-delivery notice because they discovered a college on one of my transcripts that was a "transfer" from another college, but in actuality, it is not. I attended a college that was part of a "tri-college" collaboration. We could take classes on any campus of the 3 colleges that were in close proximity and it was the same as taking it at our home campus. It is indicated by that on my transcript. CAS told me I had to get a transcript from the university where I took the actual class even though my university is the awarding institution for credit. Anyhow, I ordered the transcript from the university where I took the classes and it had ONE class on there, not all the classes I took at this university. Why? Because they never awarded me credit in the first place. Anyhow, I put the one class into my CAS application and re-submitted. I am waiting on the probable reject. I want to see what I have to do now.....
I had medical issues. I found out I had a four pound tumor encompassing my entire abdominal cavity. My first exam I scored a 74 over all with Science being the lowest at 65%. My second attempt was just weeks after surgery (at the end of August) to make the spring deadline. No surprise I did worse on all sections with Science at 33%. The first two exams I took at PSI were the same and much harder than my third attempt at another testing site. PSI uses a different version than everyone else. I hope this helped.
Hi,
Quick set of questions:- How do you go about taking the TEAS at other centers asides PSI? I currently attend twu/nctc...
Also, are you 100% sure that the PSI uses an entirely different version of the exam? I am wondering why they would if the exam is offered by one company-- ATI. Thanks in advance
Also,
I believe that starting from you guys' admission cycle, to gain admission into the program they took the GPA from the 7 core courses (A&P1 and 2, Dev psych, Microbiology, Chemistry, nutrition and statistics)... keeping that in mind, what are you guys' stats for these 7 courses along wiith your TEAS scores? I am applying hopefully by the spring of 2017 and plan to take my TEAS in January or so, I have been putting it off because I wanted to at least finish a&p2 and I have been scared of not scoring high.
Also, for those that have taken the TEAS, where did you take it and how long did you study for? I am really nervous about this exam.
Thanks in advance for your inputs.
I am positive because I remember the stories in the reading section were completely different and much lengthier. I took the PSI Teas V twice...also the science questions I got were like a paragraph long and scenario based....
I took it a third time at another campus and noticed some of the questions were the same as the Hesi exam...easier, I flew through the test. It might have been a fluke but I doubt it. Twu emailed us recently and said their policy changed, we can now take the Teas anywhere it is offered. Twu also said that PSI only uses the "form E" whatever that means. I'm thinking the form E is another version of the Teas. Call ATI customer service, they will walk you through how to find other testing centers. Good luck!
I just took my TEAS last week at the PSI testing center and I must say the reading was a little bit different than the study manual and more difficult IMO. But after studying for it, I would say it wasnt too too bad. I have to say though, after I finished it, I wasnt very confident but when I got my test results it turned out I had scored better than I thought.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Valerie, and I am getting ready to apply over the New Year weekend. I have a 3.55 overall GPA and I scored an 84% on the TEAS. I am hoping this will be good enough to get in! I am extremely nervous about this whole application process, especially due to the comments I've been reading regarding the NursingCAS. Looking forward to getting to know you guys during the application process.

Yes. Less than a week after they received the last of my transcripts.
