Hey there everyone,
Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

Yes. They required the positive titer or at least the first hep b dose by May 3rd. They have a zoom session tomorrow. Maybe you can ask for extension?
I had my PCP sent the hep b titer order to a Quest diagnostic to get my lab drawn that same day & got my results within next business day. Maybe your pcp can do that too. If it's negative, maybe you can go to a walk in clinic to get the 1st dose by next Friday.
On the acceptance packet it says to upload at least one dose of the vaccine or a positive titer. Then you scroll down and it says: Will accept 2-Dose Heplisav-B series, 3 dose Hep B vaccine series, AND/OR a Positive Titer
So if I have my 3 doses of Hep B then I don't need a titer or am I not understanding this correctly?

Is this for the Dallas campus? Cause I don't remember seeing that in my acceptance packet 😅

I though so, but I uploaded my vaccines and then it told me I need to do a titler so...IDK

Do the titer. I did mine even though I completed the 3-series and mine came back negative.. I submitted my negative result and started the Heplisav-B 2 series since I no longer have immunity even though genuinely thought I did. Its better to be safe than sorry.
Regardless of whether you received your 3 doses, they need a positive titer. I didn't submit my hep b vaccines because I took them years ago. But, I had a positive titer done recently and they accepted that. I think they only care about you being immune. If you're not, you need to start your 1st dose.

Exactly. It's titer that they want only. So if you upload proof of vaccine, great, but that's why CB will prompt you to upload your titer bc that's what TWU requires. I also just uploaded titers.

Uploaded my titer that I got and they said nope you need all three vaccines with it. I had previously did my vaccines in 2022 all three then got a titer. The lady on the phone said no you have to have all three vaccines and get another titer. They wouldn't let me proceed without it.

Very interesting! They must have changed it I guess!

A lot of nursing schools do not allow family members due to seating and also it doesn't make sense to bring them.
