Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Published

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

I toured the Life Tower today and I'm really stuck on whether I want to sign the lease there. Google has terrible reviews but when I visited it seemed really nice. The unit we toured did have a roach (alive but barely moving) but I attribute that to the fact that it was next to the outdoor terrace section. It's across the street from TWU so that's my main reason for being interested. Anybody else considering it as well?

I toured as well!  Liked that it's in the downtown Texas Medical Center- Houston and very close to TWU!  They mentioned they are under new management.

If you were accepted to Houston, check your email.  Lots of info sent 📤 !

I submitted my Hep B record since I completed the series when I was a baby, come to find out I no longer have immunity to it as a result of a negative titer and I started the series again today. Do I have to reupload my new documents? If so, I'm not sure how since Castlebranch is not letting me upload it to the Hep B dropdown and Im not sure if im supposed to upload it to Hep B 2nd action.

You need to contact or email the clinical coordinator at your campus.  Or reach out to Castlebrach directly.

Hello, all.

(Dallas Campus)

Does anyone happen to know if we are supposed to register for Orientation? If yes, how? I am missing some information.

No you don't register.

Thank you.

I am old and fear I may be missing something besides a third of my left meniscus.

During orientation, they usually will have multiple sizes of scrubs available to buy.  You can "try on" but it's more trying on over clothes etc.  So you can do that, or order online through bookstore, or go to Denton in person. I bought a pair during orientation and then another pair later on in October through the online store before we started going to the hospital.

What do we wear to orientation or will they send out a information sheet before hand?

You can wear whatever you want! 🙂 Orientation is chill. A lot of it is in the auditorium and then you'll be in mini groups going to different stations like buying scrubs if needed, registering for classes, and getting to know the different extra curricular groups on campus etc. I don't think it's changed much, so when you get there, you sign in in the front and then you'll be given a schedule.  I brought my backpack with my laptop and snacks haha.  I hope that helps!

Are we allowed to take someone with us? I think I saw in some forums people talking about taking family members.

I don't remember seeing any family at my orientation. Tbh I think it's a little odd to bring family since it's an all day thing and all about your schedule, requirements and geared just for the students.
