Hey there everyone,
Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

I actually emailed one of the clinical instructors, and she said we don't have to have it done before orientation. She believes we have 30 days after uploading your vaccination to get it done. Crisis averted loll

I was told at the zoom meeting you have to have it done before orientation or your spot will be given to someone else

Yes but thats if you just started the series. By the looks of it, the OP posted their full series and needs to do the titer and it has to come back positive or else they need to start over.

If you havent had the B series in your life and you just started it, then you don't need to upload the titer yet since it is a work in progress. If you have completed the series, yes, you have to have the titer in before orientation and it has to come back positive. If it comes back negative, you need to start the series over again, and that also has to be submitted by orientation.

Thank you for reaching out! I will be having a Zoom session today at noon if you have any further questions.

That's what I'm going off of. I'll just show them the email if they ask me why I haven't done it.

Then that sounds like you got your final dose recently. That would explain why you would have to wait 30 days to get and upload the titer.
ttrose03 said:I haven't though. Hmm, I'll send a follow-up email to be clear and see what she says.
Her Response:
Good morning, (my name),
Is it other students giving you conflicting info?
According to the acceptance packet you need at least first dose OR titer before orientation. For Hep B, you still need the titer because we need to make sure you have immunity. But, for orientation, you already completed what is required.
That said, please schedule a titer as soon as you can so you get that off your list. All we need is for you to actively work on your compliance. But, for orientation, you are 100% complaint. I will have a zoom session next Tue if you have further questions.
I will see you at orientation, God willing,
Have a great day!

Why is everyone getting different answers? Just go based off what she told you. Have that email ready for proof just in case.
For anyone struggling to find a place to get titers done, I went to Any Labs in Granbury and got them done (and I'm sure the Ft. Worth/Dallas locations would do them as well). My PCP was booked out till late May, and Quest near my home address didn't do Hep A titers, only Hep B. Hope this helps anyone struggling to get them done!

It's Hep B titer that we need, not A.
