Sup everybody ! knowing it's a bit early, but I just wanted to start this thread for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2026 program. Anyone here plan on applying?

No and even if you ask they won't tell you. In my own opinion I think it was based off the interview mainly and GPA. I'm a first generation and TTU grad so I hit the main key points. Just personally think it's the interview and what your bring to the table for them.
Hello all, how are you handling this waiting period? I know results for Tech won't be out for a few more weeks, but I feel like I've been on edge every day since the interview!
I keep replaying my answers and second-guessing everything like, "ugh, I should've said this,” or "did I talk too fast?” I can't help but feel like I could've done better. The idea of stressing like this for another month and then, very possibly, getting a no is lowkey killing me LOL.
I've also been attempting to get all my vaccination stuff in order. My childhood doctor's office doesn't have the specifics anymore (all they can confirm is "2–18 scheduled childhood immunizations”), so now I'm trying to get records from the state. Fingers crossed, they have it so I don't have to redo titers. Any suggestions are welcome.
Finally, I would love to hear how y'all are staying sane while we wait. Are you distracting yourself? Preparing for the program? Setting up a backup plan?
Sending good vibes to all

I have been on edge. I am currently a Hs teacher and ready to quit LOL. I am stressing if I don't get in I don't really have a solid back up plan but I am looking into U T s MSN program. I have spoken to a few people who are currently in it and a few are in Lubbock and El Paso they didn't do the interview and just got in so I'm curious how that works.

;(. Do you guys know if people get accepted even with no prior healthcare experience?
They do! I'm one of them! My previous degree was general studies degree and I worked in agriculture before getting into the program!

OMG thank you for responding ❤️ The thing with my situation is that I have not had any paid healthcare employment. The healthcare experience I have are the clinical rotations I did when I completed my CNA certification in high school but my certification was expired at the time of the application deadline 😞 . Hopefully the recruiters take into consideration the clinical experience that I once did instead of the certification being expired. I did specify on my interview that I am currently completing my clinical hours to be eligible to take the exam to become certified again.

You really shouldn't need to worry. I was in the same boat, the CNA prep was the only clinical experience I had. Unless it's changed, you don't actually need your CNA certification. Last year, I only had to complete the CNA course and clinicals. The program I took my CNA class with printed a certificate stating I passed the coursework. I'd recommend emailing them to clarify, just in case the requirements have been updated.
