  1. For anyone applying in future cycles, here's a quick reference of what my timeline looked like: Application window: May 1 – July 15 Submitted application: May 20 Transcript review: June 13 (confirmed all prerequisites and grades were complete) Written & video essay invite: July 30, due August 5 (I submitted by the deadline; I believe they extended it afterward) First wave of acceptances: Around September 15 Final decision: October 9 – received a "regret to inform you" email That was my personal experience. Wishing the best of luck to everyone applying in the future, and congrats to those who were accepted!
  2. Don't know why I'm surprised that I still haven't heard anything this week either.. but I am.
  3. Still haven't heard anything. Tried to email but nothing useful.. "Thank you again for applying to our Accelerated BSN program. Your application is still under faculty review. You will receive notifications for any decision made on your application via email. Unfortunately, I do not have a definite timeline on when all decisions will be made for the program. We have been told that all decisions should be made by the end of September, but this is also subject to change. Please feel to reach out if you have any other questions in the meantime. " I'll post here if I hear anything, good or bad.
  4. I'm in Austin, and I did mine at the Central Texas Nurse Network. It's on the list for approved CNA programs in Texas found on the Tech website. It's in a strip mall, and it took about 3 weeks. It was really simple and to the point, but it cost like 900. I'd recommend it to check that requirement off the list, tho it isn't very in-depth.
  5. Not yet. Praying that doesn't mean "no" or "waitlist"..
  6. Four months ago I hit submit on my application... and crickets ever since! Waiting this long to find out what your future might look like feels completely wild. Wake me up when September ends
  7. Interesting, so you heard back on a Saturday? The waiting game is painful. If its a no just tell me! Haha
  8. I'm not dealing great, but I've about convinced myself it'll be a Monday morning before I hear back. In the meantime, I'm picking up extra shifts.
  9. "We don't have a specific date, but decisions will be out by the end of September, so keep checking your email and application portal." or something along those lines. So I reckon anytime in the next 3 weeks. Last year, some folks got answers on the 9th (the second Monday), but others were still waiting to hear. Perhaps it's based on when we applied.
  10. I just called admissions, and he just said "by the end of September"... I wouldn't know anyone else to contact.
  11. Hello all, how are you handling this waiting period? I know results for Tech won't be out for a few more weeks, but I feel like I've been on edge every day since the interview! I keep replaying my answers and second-guessing everything like, "ugh, I should've said this,” or "did I talk too fast?” I can't help but feel like I could've done better. The idea of stressing like this for another month and then, very possibly, getting a no is lowkey killing me LOL. I've also been attempting to get all my vaccination stuff in order. My childhood doctor's office doesn't have the specifics anymore (all they can confirm is "2–18 scheduled childhood immunizations”), so now I'm trying to get records from the state. Fingers crossed, they have it so I don't have to redo titers. Any suggestions are welcome. Finally, I would love to hear how y'all are staying sane while we wait. Are you distracting yourself? Preparing for the program? Setting up a backup plan? Sending good vibes to all
  12. A couple hours after writing this I got the invite for the video essay questions. Patience is a virtue haha check y'all's emails
  13. Hey yall, Still haven't heard anything myself, so I decided to call Tech to see if I could get any updates. They confirmed there's been a bit of a delay, but we should be hearing about next steps in the next few days. The second step is still the written/video questionnaire, so no changes there. I know that doesn't tell us much we haven't already assumed, but I figured I'd pass it along!
  14. I haven't. Really thought we would hear something today!
