UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Sup everybody ! knowing it's a bit early, but I just wanted to start this thread for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2026 program. Anyone here plan on applying? 

I emailed and asked when they would be sending out decisions, they said that they hope to send out emails in the next couple weeks.

Makes me think we won't be hearing anything this week

Last year, acceptance notifications were sent on Sept 9th. The portal will change in that it tells you there is a status update for your application with a link to follow. I was given a link for an enrollment deposit, and that's how I knew I was accepted. Then, about 15-30 minutes later, my profile updated with the acceptance letter. 

How much was the enrollment deposit, if you don't mind me asking?

Bro this is torture 

I did call the finance office to confirm the price of the program & she did say that it is 7,565.70 per semester.

Enrollment deposit was $175. Also the Fall semester just started on Monday for TTUHSC, so that may delay them sending out acceptance letters.

Ugh... I know there's way more of us than there is them, but this is making me so anxious! I believe last year the interview emails were sent out a week and a half earlier than ours this year... I don't know if I'll be able to do this until the end of September 😂

I'm not dealing great, but I've about convinced myself it'll be a Monday morning before I hear back. In the meantime, I'm picking up extra shifts.

Hello everyone 🙂

I have been stalking this forum for awhile now, and I decided to join in! I have applied for the Odessa campus, and I certainly share everyones worries over what our future holds. As long as you have, and continue to do, your very best then I am sure you will achieve greatness in all you do. We've got this!

Yup! You've done everything you can do at this point! Just gotta sit and wait to find out if we will be nurses by next year!

I keep checking my emails as if they are going to accept me in the middle of the night. Since I know a lot of you are restless, I'll tell you a little about myself since I can't sleep. I have two kids and after my second I was like LIGHTBULB. I want to go to nursing school (It was my first pre-major, but I got derailed and unfocused and just got a degree in anything to get out of school early) So I graduated early and now almost 15 years later I have traveled the world worked in sales and got married and had kids and now I feel so called to be in healthcare. Started pre-reqs this past January with my 2 month old on my lap, a toddler in the other and the rest is history. Never underestimate us moms. haha Anyone got a story to tell about how you got here?

 

Fun fact. My mom is also an RN and went to nursing school when me and my siblings were tiny. It's funny how these things play out! Apple, I guess.

I feel like if I didn't know when last year got the email, maybe I wouldn't be as anxious.. Because now I really have no idea when the email will come, I just know it's after last years email went out.. and will come within the next 3 weeks of September (hopefully) 🫠
