Texas Tech Accelerated 2nd Degree Program 2021

I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?

@Karimah I don’t think so! You didn’t miss much by completely exiting. After the interview, they just asked if I had any additional questions and told me I was free to go if I didn’t!

No you don't need to do anything. They said they submitted everyone’s information and the board will be sending out the docs once the list is approved. The only thing anyone should be concerned with preemptively doing is the immunizations bc some of them need boosters. They said everyone needs to wait until AFTER sept 8th to turn anything in to the Board of Nursing and also you will get further instruction if you receive a final acceptance. I would highly suggest to anyone if they accidentally click out of the breakout rooms after interview and they have questions to reclick your zoom interview link and they will put you back in the breakout room where you can ask your questions. Thats what I did since I accidentally clicked out.

Thank you! ? I didn’t have any questions originally after I accidentally clicked out of my interview so I didn’t think of that at the time, but after everyone started discussing the fingerprinting/background checks here in the forum, I wondered if I had missed any information.

No problem! They explained all of that before I got pulled for my interview and I take notes of everything (bc im crazay) and I just went back in and asked the questions after I accidentally completely left. Glad I could help ?

Not sure! I would think it would still be a little bit considering they were busy with the first round of interviews all of last week so I'm not sure how they did interviews while continuing to process applications. I think they are still working on processing applications but wasn't sure if anyone had a general idea of when they would be doing them!

When I ask (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) last week she said it may be this week or next week

@TTUHSC im pretty sure in my interview invite it said there were 4 more dates for the people that already received invites starting next week so the second wave invites probably won't go out for a few weeks.

I just got an email on the 29th about my missing classes on transcripts & I was probably one of the last applicants (shout out to having the wrong deadline down). So, I'm assuming they just finished going through everyone's materials Friday.
