Texas Tech Accelerated 2nd Degree Program 2021

Published

I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?

Ughhh same! At one point I literally thought to myself, “what question am I even answering?!” ??‍♀️?

I thought the exact same thing, like “Did I just answer the question they asked or did I answer a completely different one??” ?

Same!! Even though they were super nice and tried to make me feel less nervous. My nerves just could not relax which I why I felt like I had to over explain some answers.

Does anyone know how many they plan on accepting/a breakdown by site? I asked at the end of my interview and they said that they weren’t exactly sure what the breakdown was but to ask (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). I was thinking about emailing her, but also know she is so beyond busy right now. Figured I’d try here first!

@Keg2334 if you decide to email, can you share the info here?

I asked if anyone knew stats a couple weeks back and did not get a reply.

Thanks! How do you feel about your interview?

Specializes in ICU.

@Keg2334 and @Future _RN, I asked in the waiting room before my interview and they said there is a legal requirement to only have 15 students per site coordinator so that’s what it depends on. The larger sites (Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Lubbock) should be 30-45 and the smaller sites (Amarillo, Odessa, Abilene) are probably 10-20.

I felt super confident going in! And I feel like I was super prepared for questions they didn’t ask so that’s a fun feeling haha...definitely not my best interview I’ve ever done.

Thank you! Ahh such few spots for so many people who applied!
