I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?
I agree that reaching out to admissions is a great idea - name recognition can only help you! I will also say that medical experience is not a requirement and they do truly seem to take a holistic approach in reviewing applications. If I’m not mistaken, I think we even have a few former teachers in this years cohort ?

On the application portal. There’s a place that says BLS cert. is there a forum for this years applicants (2022 cohort) made? That would be super helpful for y’all to all chat and help each other with this years app!

Hi! You don't have to wait to send your transcripts. Also, it’s not required to have medical background. I’d super suggest contacting the nursing admissions so you can be sent and watch the webinars that they hold for the next cohorts application cycle and ask the admission counselor questions directly so you can get your name recognized. Also, they change requirements year to year! So that would be super helpful to any people considering applying! I read all of the previous classes allnurses forums literally word for word so many times but I directed questions toward the school themselves since things change! Good luck!
