Is it only a LVN bridge program or can you start out right at the RN program if you dont have an LVN license? I was kind of confused about that on the website...

Hello, I am excited to be starting the ADN-RN Program for DNI on 01/19/10.I am an LVN of 22 years. .... Any students that have the prereq can start the program. Generic students(non-LVN) will have 5 semester of classes. Where as LVN will have 3 semesters. I also have a BBA(Bachelor Of Business Administration) from Northwood University in Cedar Hill. I am eligible for loans because I am current and not in default. I went to the clinical lab yesterday to do my drug test, I have my schedule and ready for class. Whatever it takes to make your dreams come true you have to do it. Alot of people will complain about the prices of the tuition, but it is a private school. The program has just been approved this past year. There will be trials and error, but what you put in is what you can and will get out of it. I plan to get with other students to form some study group, because I know this will be an intense program. The school also accepts prereq from other colleges. The only thing that has a limitation on it is the Patho(5yrs). I love Nursing and helping others....Just post a question and I will help anyone that needs help. I will be in the program and that way, I can keep you guys informed and encourage you all to join. I feel like if the program does well, it will give some of the local programs a run for their money. It will also give other students that have been applying to other programs, that have not got in, other options. Good Luck to all,
Tomorrow is my and I could not have asked for a better gift..."Getting into the program is a great birthday present....Enjoy!!!!

If you go to DNI for the ADN program, do the credits transfer for a bridge to BSN program? Also, does anyone know if the Pell Grant can be used there?
    Thanks
    LG

Hi Sheena! The Hesi A2 is not as hard as I thought it would be, and others have made it sound!! My test consisted of basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)fractions, some algebra, etc. Vocabulary-word definitions. Reading portion was long but take your time. A&P was easy. The A&P that I took during nursing school was enough to help me pass. I was only concerned with taking Math b/c I HATE MATH!!! LOL

I didn't really study any particular guide, just reviewed my A&P books. I printed math problems of the internet and practiced at work everyday. I took my Hesi Nov. 20th after scheduling two weeks prior. They give you 4-5 hours to take the entire test at your own pace. Don'y worry. You'll do great!!!
