Has anyone applied or heard of the TLU ABSN program in New Braunfels, TX? Does anyone know the reputation/ competitiveness of the school? Thanks in advance.

I was looking into this program but I couldn'f find anything. Do you mind sharing your TEAS score?

Sure! My TEAS wasn't great, I made an 81%, but I also had a 3.9 my pre-reqs and work experience as a PCT. My LOR was also from a healthcare worker so I think that helped too. I think they take a more holistic approach so don't worry if your TEAS isn't great!

Thank you! I am so worried about it aha

Hi! Is anyone here applying for Spring 2021? I just recently found out about TLU and wanted to see if anyone else is applying. My TEAS isn't great so I am a little anxious about it.

I am looking to apply! I haven't taken the TEAS yet ( I take the HESI this weekend for other school admissions). The process is so exciting but very overwhelming with all the different ABSN options. I am trying to do a compare/contrast and pro/con list of each university. The costs of all of them are honestly outrageous!!

I have been accepted for the Spring of 21 program! I'm still keeping my options open (private school tuition yikes) but everyone that I've spoken with over the phone seems to be very, very friendly and helpful! It helps that they have a very good NCLEX pass rate.

I applied and have been accepted for Spring of 21! My TEAS was pretty okay but my GPA was definitely on the lower end and that didn't seem to be an issue!

So is the Texas Lutheran ABSN on a rolling basis? Since the deadline isn't until November but some of you have already been accepted?

I applied 2 days before the deadline for the fall semester! and I was still accepted. So I would try anyway!!

@FutureNurseBre @flows67 Hi guys! Would I be able to reach out directly to one of you if you're currently in the program? I live a little further out from New Braunfels and wanted to see how the day to day life is like at this program, since I'll be commuting. Literally any kind of insight would be super helpful. Since it won't let me private message you guys, and if you're not comfortable posting here, my email is [email protected] (throwaway email, please don't judge LOL). Thank you so much.

Hi! I just got accepted into the Spring 2021 Cohort ? Does anyone know if there's a facebook Group to join?

Also for anyone already in the program/been accepted do you have a calendar that goes over the 16 months?

Hi!! Congrats!! I was originally accepted for the fall semester but deferred for the Spring for personal reasons. There is not a FB group, there probably won't be one until orientation happens! And I don't have a calendar, but I know as of right now their classes are online and they have lab in the clinical simulation site 2x per week. The clinicals start around week 6 or 7 and they are in San Antonio.
