Just wanted to start a thread about the GN residency that THR just opened up. Hoping we can keep each other updated on the application process (application status, interviews, job offers). Good luck!

@pcttorn2b Did u apply to baylor? if not try applying to baylor instead. And for what your classmate said that isnt true i have a friend that also graduated last december he got an offer for Thr fort worth to start with summer cohort.

I actually talked to Stephanie earlier today asking this same question and you can apply as long as you don't have more than 6 months of RN experience.

Good to know! I think she meant that for example, we graduated in December 2017, so we probably wouldn't get hired for say a Fall 2018 residency. But that makes more sense Technursing, thank you!

Does anyone know the starting hourly rate at THR and how often it increases (Q6months, or annually)? Curious how it stacks up to other residencies.

The starting hourly is $25 an hour. The pay increase depends but you don't get a pay increase until after 1 year and then you can do competencies to raise your hourly

thats so unfortunate; i did see on their website that they have a partnership with UTA nursing, so I guess it makes sense. Both those schools probably have clinicals at the THR arlington location.

Yeah that's true about the partnership. Just wish my school was in a partnership with a prominent entity...or else I wouldn't have gone there if I had known it would cost me a fortune AND I would still have a hard time finding a job in the area as a BSN. But I am totally happy with my offer and accepted it! It's a good start and I'm excited:)!!! THR is really a great place to be, I really like it here.
