TESU ABSN Spring 2022 Cohort

Published

Hi,

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to Spring 2022 Cohort for Thomas Edison University in NJ. I’m in the application process and I’m in the last semester of my pre-reqs. I believe the deadline to apply is February 1st and the Spring cohort starts May 2022. Has anyone started their application process yet?

Update. I got accepted !! ??. Can anyone tell me the onboarding process and how the professors are etc and what to expect.

Congratulations!! How exciting! The onboarding process is pretty straight forward, there is just a lot you have to complete. As it gets closer to the start date, you will receive all of your onboarding info/clinical compliance paperwork. You will have to complete a physical, ppd, background screening, fingerprints, drug screen, immunizations, etc. This all gets uploaded to a site called Castle Branch and you will receive an email on how to set this up. I recommend getting your scrubs as soon as they send you the information, because shipping times are definitely delayed.

@Elizhh16 Thank you! I’m excited and do you have the link on where to order the scrubs? Also how soon do we start clinicals when we start the program.

Congratulations! I have my interview on Friday. How soon did they let you know from the time you had your interview??

@Royalblue30 They will send you an email soon with all of the information for orientation, purchasing scrubs, etc. We started beginning of January and have our first day of clinical tomorrow, so about 5 weeks after you begin.

I just received my acceptance email!! At what point do we give deposit? The Email just said accepted and to schedule nursing appointment.

@NewPathForMe congrats! You have 7 days from when you receive your acceptance letter. Is there a facebook group for our May 22 cohort?

@Elizhh16 yes they finally sent the email. I’m excited! How are the professors so far?

Specializes in PM.

@Royal_BlueCONGRATS!! Very happy for you. Wish I could start in May but there’s a little hiccup for me LOL… May just have to do September

@Elizhh16So you started in January and now you’re about to start clinicals? Have you been taking classes from home this whole time? And what days will you be on campus?

Not sure about the facebook group, if you come across one please let me know. Do they send another email with more details on the deposit and all the other stuff needed to start, or am I supposed to reach back out to them?

Was anyone accepted into the BS Health Studies Pathway first? and then granted admission?

If you mean the BSNA prep then yes. The advisor told me they do that with everyone to make sure they are on track because the application is rolling, so once everything is complete on there, they schedule you for an interview.

Hey everyone! I’m applying for the Spring cohort and have my virtual interview next week. Any tips, recommendations or ideas on how to prepare for the interview would be greatly appreciated. How many people are interviewing? And does anyone recall any of the questions that were asked? Any advice at all is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!
