TESU ABSN Spring 2022 Cohort

Published

Hi,

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to Spring 2022 Cohort for Thomas Edison University in NJ. I’m in the application process and I’m in the last semester of my pre-reqs. I believe the deadline to apply is February 1st and the Spring cohort starts May 2022. Has anyone started their application process yet?

@Sonal hi read through the thread because I’ve responded to a question like this already love. It’s not that far back.l

Hey everyone! I’m applying for the Spring cohort and have my virtual interview next week. Any tips, recommendations or ideas on how to prepare for the interview would be greatly appreciated. How many people are interviewing? And does anyone recall any of the questions that were asked? Any advice at all is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!

Think the best advice I can give is be authentic and sincere. They asked me why nursing and why TESU, they also asked things specific to my resume, what was a class I didn't like and one I did as well as how to deal? Questions about your support system. Alot of the interview really turned into a back and forth natural conversation about the topic they asked.

Thank you so much girl! ??

Hello, thinking of applying for fall 2022 cohort. How are the professors at TESU? Are they easy? Hard? Doable? And what to expect at the program.

Congrats on your interview! When I had mine it was a couple different professors on it plus the dean. Just be yourself and be prepared to answer questions like why nursing and why now. They also asked me about some of my undergrad classes like chem and anatomy.

We are currently on campus 2 days per week, and the other 2 we are online. We have off on Fridays (but doesn’t mean you won’t be busy doing work!). We have 3 classes right now and start clinicals in 2 weeks.

Would you mind sharing your experience and the full class schedule including labs, skills and clinicals during the week?

Hi, my thread name is Mendez. I goggle schools for BSN and came across Thomas Edison's Accelerated BSN program. I read past threads and want to know-how is the program. Prerequisite how old can be? Royalblue30 and Elizhh16 read both of your threads about the admission process .

I would highly recommend calling the school and asking them. They will gladly guide you to the best available options and track to take in order to obtain whatever degree you're interested in. They are very helpful!

Hello all, I came across all these comments about TUSU. I want to apply to TUSU for the ABSN program. I took my TEAS and I got in the 80s in each section plus I have 6 years of experience as a CNA, PCT in the ICU and as a Patient placement coordinator as well. Also, I have all my pre-requisites done already with B and B+s all all them. Now, for my previous undergrated degree; my GPA is 2.745 and I am not sure if I should apply because they prefer a 3.0. For May cohort 2024.

@Chelsia

did you ever get accepted ?

@Chelsie you should apply. Just ensure your interview skills are up to par somebody got in w a 2.9 cumulative but great scores on their pre reqs since it is holistic , they look at the individual as a whole
