Temple College 2015

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

That was my bad for the Monday part... Lol I got confused with Tuesday in the same block having different times.

Anyone else Have schedule A? and Has anyone gone in to get their ID card made?

Ok I was double checking making sure I didn't miss class the first day!!!

Congrats, lol I have Schedule A but I was number 54 so... lol I will take it just glad to be in! Look forward to seeing ya Monday, lol Ill be wearing a carnation hahaha

BTW what shoes are you guys (Males) buying?

Hey Guys,

I'm sorry to keep sounding like a broken record, but is that your schedule for the ENTIRE first semester? I called the ADN coordinator, again, and she won't give me a clear answer. She says it's possible to start clinicals at 8am the first two semesters, and for the third and fourth semesters, clinicals start at 6:30am. Can anyone confirm that this is their understanding, as well?

Has anyone been able to buy the ADN packets?

Has anyone been able to buy the ADN packets?

I will go up there in the morning and check on the packets. Do we wear our uniform or regular clothes on Monday? I thought it was regular, but just double checking.

I'm pretty sure its regular clothes, didn't think we needed uniform until, September 8th? OK cool literally the only thing I'm missing :/ bookwise

QUESTION: If you are seeking to bridge from LVN to RN do you have to take the HESI? This is all I read on their site?

Students seeking admission to the LVN Bridging program are admitted to the program on the basis of the following criteria, with maximum point totals awarded as indicated:

  • GPA, only general education courses that apply to the ADN curriculum (approximately 56% of points)
  • Number of general education credits that apply to the ADN curriculum (approximately 33% of points)
  • Graduate of Temple College Vocational Nursing program or Temple College service area residency status (approximately 11% of points)

You do not need the HESI to bridge
