Temple College 2015

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

I'm considering applying for the Temple ADN and/or LVN programs. Can anyone tell me what the schedules are for both? I believe someone above posted the ADN schedule for this year, but I just wanted to make sure that's what that was, and find out the VN program schedule.

ADNis pretty much M-Thursday 8-400 pm with either a late start Wednesday or a half day thursday

Can anyone tell me the LVN schedule? At either Temple or Taylor? I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to do the programs with my kids' school schedule.

I know you were just accepted, but did anyone ever say that you could possible get out earlier than 4pm, occasionally?

Did everybody show up for orientation last week? or will there be some of the alternates getting accepted after all? Super excited for all those starting class next week!!!

I think there where only 59 people there but I am not to sure, dont want to get anyones hopes up.

Hi-

Can anyone tell me which semester the clinicals start? I was told today by the ADN dept. that every semester has different hours, and that I need to be available from 6:30am- 4:30 pm, throughout the length of the program. I didn't want to keep asking more questions, so I thought maybe someone could answer me here. I'm concerned with having to find childcare so early, especially since I'll be commuting an hour to Temple.

Clinicals from how I understand it start the first semester after a couple of weeks. They have for freshman the 8 am- 4 pm but they do require some to come in earlier and some to start later, and your sophmore year as of right now they let them choose to have a clinical day on fridays as an option.

I thought schedule was

Monday everyone 12-4

Tuesday everyone 8-4

Wednesday (a) 11:30-2:45 (b) 8-2:45

Thursday (a) 8-3:45 (b) 8:30-1:30

Where did you hear about this schedule? Is this maybe for the first semester only?

Thats the schedule they gave us at orientation. How are you guys getting 8-4 Monday??

Not sure what the schedule is the following semesters.
