Temple College 2015

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

Thanks so much!

No clue, but definitely won't hurt to apply lol

For the lvn program do you need to take the HESI

Yes you do have to.

Hi girls i need hel i ask mrs nancy from temple college what wasthe minimum score to apoly in the program here at my college u need 75% and up to apply to the program but mrs nancy said " There is no minimum score. Any score gets you an application. The HESI A2 score is worth a certain amount of points depending on what the score is. The higher the score, the more possible point" so im consufe i dont need a certain percentage?

I guess things must have changed because 75 was the minimum to apply when I applied last year, but I will say you will need atleast around an 84-90 to be competitive for the ADN program with a good GPA

So i have a question me and my friend are applying to the nursing program she has a really good gpa and good grades but her hesi is a 50 we talk to a lady in the program she said u dont need annu minimum score to apply to the nursing program for the rn you guys think she has a chance she has been really worried

Depends on her GPA, but my guess would be probably not. She needs to study for the HESI and try and retake it, but she should apply anyway

She has a gpa of 3.8

She has a gpa pf 3.8 and A and B

A and B? That is a really competitive GPA, but she is hindering herself by having a really low HESI score. Even if she got a 70-80 HESI she would probably be accepted with that GPA. If she is able to I recommend her to study for the HESI and retake it next year during the RN period which I believe is Feb-April?? Im guessing just guessing but the math portion probably hurt her score a lot? It seems to be the one that gives people the most amount of trouble. She needs to refresh her basic math and really focus in on getting it down because there are math components in the first semester that need to be passed otherwise they remove you from the program FYI.

So there's no way they can accept her ? Can she try if they dont accept her maybe she can try to reake it again
