Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.
PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!
So all we have left to do is wait for the blue card to come in and then turn in all the paper work?
I already turned in all my paper work because it is due by July 2nd and I just got my blue card yesterday, so that is the last piece of paper work they need from me. I was already CPR certified and had my shot record because I recently separated from the military and the physical I got done as well. FYI the blue card took about 2 weeks to arrive :)
Hi guys! I will be applying to the LVN and RN program for next year. I had a few questions I could not find on the website.
1. I have taken AP 1 and AP II. ( As well as a lot of other co-reqs) Do I still need to take the Intro to A&P course for LVN or would they count my AP 1 and 2 as a point?
2. I read that you can only take the HESI once per application. Does this mean I can take it once in November for the LVN app and then maybe again in March for the RN app?
3. Do you know if they have accepted LVN applicants without either class taken? Or just one? Not sure if that would count me out completely.
4. Does Temple allow online classes for either of the two LVN pre reqs? ( Intro to AP and the Comp class. )
Any help would be awesome!
Thank you!
1. I doubt you would need to, but I would call Temple college and ask them.
2. Yes, you should be able to take it twice. I think I remember people on here debating if they should retake the HESI to improve their score from when they applied to the LVN program. But if you score lower then they go with the most recent score.
3. not sure sry
4. Also not sure, but if Texas if the course numbers are the same they most likely have to accept it regardless if it was online or not.
