Temple College 2015

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

So it's six o'clock, has anybody heard anything today?

The LVN courtesy email, sent this Tuesday afternoon, said the official letter should be arrive "later this week," so, depending on where you live (mailing time), we should all know something today, tomorrow, or Saturday, if you haven't heard something already.

Got my letter today...for the alternates list. Felt kind of like a sick joke since the secretary told me if you're an alternate or if you get rejected you'll be recieving an email and if you're accepted you'll receive a letter.

Oh well, everything happens for a reason. Congrats to everyone that made it! I wish you all the best.

That is a mean joke! I'm so sorry! Don't give up hope. My friend was alternate number 11 and she started right on time with me. She got a phone call 2 weeks before school started. She was so bummed thinking it was impossible since she was #11. Apparently there are many people (minus the bridgers who apply) that don't get clearance for one reason or another from the board, so the school uses alot of the alternates to replace those people. So, do what the letter says and get clearance from the board, and turn in all the required things so that if someone loses a spot, u will have your stuff already turned in and dan take that spot!

I appreciate the encouragement! I got cleared a couple of months pack, I have all my vacinations, CPR/AED cert, and physical. I think i might have everything but I'm definitely going to make sure I get everything taken care of in the next few weeks.

Today was a let down but I can't count myself out completely just yet. I have one more application out there, if both of these fall through I'm just going to keep trying and trying until I get in somewhere. It's bound to happen eventually!

Yes I've applied there for the fall semester. I've been told the fall semester is kind of tough to get into, so if it doesn't work out I'm definitely going to re-apply in September. How about you?
