TEACHERS>>>UMPH>>I"M DONE

Published

I am checking a temp on a student..teacher walks in, opens my supply cabinet and proceeds to withdraw my Q-tips and proceeds to CLEAN HIS EARS!! I stared at him, mouth gaping open....he didn't ask...just took...Gosh, I want to walk into his classroom and take something without asking..

fast forward 30 min and he returns..doing it again..I stop him and ask.."why are you using my office supply needed for students to clean your ears??"" he had something in it he says....and that's my problem..WHY????

Same teacher asked me to sew his pants last week cause his wife will kill him if he comes home with another pair of ripped pants...NOT MY PROBLEM!! I clearly stated , I am a nurse not your nurse and not your seamstress.

I'm Done!!

Yeah, asking you to sew his pants takes a nerve.

But I don't get what the big deal is about him taking some Q-tips..... Cleaning his ears out in front of you and the student is kind of creepy, but why worry about a few Q-tips? I doubt the budget's that tight.

I wasn't upset about Q-tips . . .. and if you've ever had something like a bug in your ear where it feels like it is a bat in your ear, it drives you crazy! Especially when you get it out finally and it was a gnat. :bluecry1:

Maybe ask the nurse to use her otoscope and take a look inside for you and go after whatever was in there in the first place....... but wait your turn? ;)

I've helped out a teacher or two with stuff . . .but not mending clothes!:sarcastic:

I'm upset to read that he just walked in and up to cabinet to take something without asking. That shows poor manners, plain and simple. What an example for the kids there.

And sewing his pants? Ugh. I hate to ask where he ripped them...

On Friday I had a teacher come in, close the door, and take her shirt off to show me her armpit because she'd had an infected abcess elsewhere and she was convinced she was getting another one there. (Just looked like razorburn to me, NOT that I told her that.) Seriously, teachers, GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. I AM NOT YOUR DOCTOR.

I am also not your personal weight loss counselor - to be quite frank, while I'll let you borrow my scale for a moment to check your weight, I don't care about your diet. I find most diet programs to be unsupported by any kind of evidence and entirely unsuitable to be a permanent lifestyle change - which means as soon as you stop it, you're going to yo-yo right back up. But whatever, congrats on cutting out all solid foods for a week, I bet your poop is super weird right now.

It might sound petty being "just a Qtip", but I posted because it was the point of walking in.....like he is allowed to simply help himself.

Exactly. If you walked into his classroom and started helping yourself to supplies, there would be a HUUUGE issue, no doubt. Your office is like your classroom!

Summer can't start soon enough for me. I have had it...

i would have loved to sew his pants for him

my specialty pant legs sewn shot

alternatively, just ask him to drop the pants off right before

your shift is over, perhaps he could wait in the room next door

or the bathroom and then quickly leave on an emergency call

perhaps you could drop his pants off with his wife later on

oh the missed possibilities

The lack of privacy is the big problem--you had a student in your office and he walked right in without permission (or asking). And don't get me started on Q-Tips in the ears--hope you read him the riot act! Go to the principal and ask if he/she can reiterate the school policy of knocking and asking before they enter your area.
