I am checking a temp on a student..teacher walks in, opens my supply cabinet and proceeds to withdraw my Q-tips and proceeds to CLEAN HIS EARS!! I stared at him, mouth gaping open....he didn't ask...just took...Gosh, I want to walk into his classroom and take something without asking..
fast forward 30 min and he returns..doing it again..I stop him and ask.."why are you using my office supply needed for students to clean your ears??"" he had something in it he says....and that's my problem..WHY????
Same teacher asked me to sew his pants last week cause his wife will kill him if he comes home with another pair of ripped pants...NOT MY PROBLEM!! I clearly stated , I am a nurse not your nurse and not your seamstress.

I'm afraid my response would have been, "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares!"

This might be the same guy who clipped his toenails on a flight to Hawaii . . .and was shocked when the flight attendant asked him to stop. Other passengers were complaining.
Shocking, how people have no manners anymore.
The flight attendant is my sis-in-law.

Wow! What does this gem of a teacher TEACH? Is he a professional? If he teaches something beside nursing ( Mud-wrestling 101, comes to mind) maybe this behavior seems appropriate to him. Otherwise, I can't understand why this unsavory seeming person, has the nerve to take your supplies for his personal use and then asks you to do his mending!!!
On the other hand, I've met a few physicians (often surgeons) who are shockingly offensive in their personal relationships. They expect nurses to be servile at all times. You handled the situation with restraint. Does he approach other student nurses this way?
Or are you the the lone target? It might be worth a little behind-the-scenes investigation...for future reference if nothing else.

Yeah, asking you to sew his pants takes a nerve.
But I don't get what the big deal is about him taking some Q-tips..... Cleaning his ears out in front of you and the student is kind of creepy, but why worry about a few Q-tips? I doubt the budget's that tight.
