TCC Spring 2016 Applicants

Published

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Good luck to everyone dropping off their applications. ^-^ I have homework for one of my classes [A+PII Re-take] and fall hasn't started yet XD I'm excited to try out some new study/organization methods before nursing school though.

I took my HESI yesterday and got a 93.5% and have a 4.0 GPA. I need to go get my application turned in but how do you know when they are open or not. I'd hate to drive all the way up there and them not be there. Anyone know for sure?

Congrats on great scores! I believe they work regular advisor hours. I think they are closed for meetings between 12-1 or 1-2 but I'm not 100% sure which time frame it is. I went yesterday at 11am with no problem.

Kathrine told me they won't let anyone know till the end of September

Wh...what??? I might cry. Haha. Two weeks more was bad enough, but now likely another two? I guess there must be a ton of applicants again this semester :

The fall 2015 class was slated to find out on 4/15 and I think they were notified on 4/21. I bet we will find out around that 21st-25th of next month. When I dropped off my application this week, Katherine mentioned that there really weren't as many applicants as before because a lot of applicants missed the August 1st vaccination deadline. I know a lot of people dropped off their apps this week but a doubt it was several hundred.

I hope there are not as many applications this time around so I stand a chance to get in!! I don't mean to sound rude but I really want to get in and my hesi was not as high as I wanted.

When I dropped off my application on Thursday morning she stated she had only received about 200 applications at that point. So we might have a chance!

Hey guys! I completed all my application stuff and was going to turn it in on thursday but things came up and i had no way up there :,( I did NOT wanna cut it this close, but i could still turn it in on the 31st, right?

Not sure if there are conflicting statements from the advisor then... because when I went and turned in my application early Thursday morning, she said that at that point there were about 250 plus...and she said the day before she had 60 alone and expected the same thursday and friday. BUT, I am aware that this go around, there definitely are not as many applicants.

Good luck to everyone!

What were your scores if you don't mind me asking??

Apparently, this go around a lot of people scored so low they could not even apply

Not to sound rude but how in the world does someone not get at least the 75 on the test on all the sections?? Honestly if someone can't be successful on that easy of a test, there's no way they could be successful in nursing school with much much more challenging criteria. The math section was middle school level. I'm honestly surprised they don't test on the a&p and other sections just to narrow down more the people that could handle nursing school. Maybe if there aren't as many applications then they will have the list of people that are accepted even more quickly. We can hope!
