The HESI is A2. I think Micro and AP1 is a good choice for regular semester. Good luck

Micro and AP I were a great matchup for me too.

Dang, I was hoping to know our schedules before orientation. Bummer

Same here...but i think they need the extra time to place the alternates and finalize everything.

Waiting sucks!:banghead:

I am going to NW Campus. ******* looks to have some good reviews. I don't want an easy A. I want to learn but also want a professor that is not unrealistic, this was what I read about ***** (Chem professor). I am just struggling with what 2 Science classes to take in the Spring.

I didn't mean to imply that you'd get an easy A. :-) Trust me, I spent about 7 hours a day earning that A for ********! LOL

I'll add one more professor suggestion out at NW (I only took micro and college algebra there) but ****** ***** was outstanding. I purely lucked into her class as it was the last available and it is still one of my favorites by far. It was the second time I took micro (again, 10 years apart) and I felt like I actually learned what she was teaching. We went into so much depth and had so many "debates" in our class - @Student213 could attest to that! :-) She is also a professor who loves her subject matter and IMO that makes a big difference. Sounds like there were a ton of great teachers out there though!!

Edit: after re-reading the posts, ***** teaches BOTH A&PI and Micro (I remember now that I wished I'd known that so far back . . .) I'm not sure if she teaches A&PI in the same manner she does micro though.

i just learned something very interesting about my health savings account.

turns out my stethoscope is covered! my wife and i have $500 in the account that we lose if we don't use by the end of the year. we have cigna. no luck on the scrubs. here is the very strange list of approved items.......

hand sanitizer

urine tests (ovulation, pregnancy, uti, etc)

heating pads/patches

Oh now that's cool. When I was still working my flex plan was very similar - boy how I miss that now!! Ours didn't cover things like QTips and sunscreen but it did cover just about everything else, anything for "home medical necessities".

Do we know what is included in our skills kit yet?

cross- I wish! I bet Its full of interesting little knick-knacks. You think its going to come with medical scissors and light pens and stuff? I know we need those..

Congrats on getting in to the program! I am almost thru my first semester and I love it. It's so much fun.

I can tell you about the lab kits. They contain syringes and needles, ng tube, urinary catheter, gloves, surgical gloves, central line dressing change, and iv kit. All the things you are about to learn how to use. You will have to purchase your own scissors pen light, and extra gloves. May I suggest a scrapbook supply rolling bag, you will be carrying a lot of stuff.

Parking has been a challenge, so be prepared to get to class early.

Good luck!

I finally got my letter saying how much financial aid I will be this go around. Only half of what I got last year, but glad it will at least cover the tuition. It sucks that we only get half of it since we are only taking 8 hours. So close to the 9 lol. Oh well.

Student- we do get 9hrs! 1 for skills, 4 for foundations lecture and 4 for clinicals! so we get 75% :) yaayy!! lol. When they sent me.my financial aid award letter , I think I'm getting what I usually get only a two hundred dollar difference.. probably because I'm.coming off timeframe.

I don't get financial aid, but I do get a scholarship. My requirements are 12 credits, but only 8 if I am in the nursing program. I wonder why is not the same for FA?
