Published

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

Check it out!!!
Pretty cool uh?!

Whoa! That's fantastic.

Ive seen those when i used to work at bestbuy [in my teen years lol], very impressive, you can even print your own dot paper. But knowing me, I would lose it so i'll just stick with my pen and paper.. lol

Badge pulls! Much better. LOL :smackingf

Shoes came in today, but...they were too big :crying2:, so back to amazon they go..

Cross, I'm not sure if they are supposed to email us with a confirmation on the background check or not. I was growing impatient is all! The yo-yo badge things are badge-pulls....TNSA will be selling those at orientation.

JefeLebron and everyone....

I just called Nursing department and confirm my background check. The lady said that they already received mine. She pulled the information from the computer. I suggest that you guys/gals want to call to make sure it is in and I don't think they will send out the confirmation email.

Oh no!! Which ones did you get? Did you try them on in a store first??

When I tried on the Dansko's Saturday I was thoroughly confused because they are European sizes and I don't know the conversion. One size was too big (my heel slid out too easily) but the next size down was a LOT smaller, not like US sizing with halves and everything. That may be my hardest purchase - you can't alter shoes. :-(

with the danskos I heard that they are supposed to slip off the heel, not be a tight fit. But I'm going to scrubs etc. to look for.some new ones today. ..

I got the crocs, I tried them on at the store and they fit fine, but the ones I got were way big, atleast an inch and a half too big. I don't know why, it was the same shoe I tried on at the store. Maybe they sent me a men's shoe or something lol.

Angela!!! Lol... Like I told u on facebook, I would never recommend taking two sciences together. It is not impossible to take them together but to make an A on both... Ummm idk about that! Micro will be great to take in summer. From what I hear nursing is tough so rushing through ur sciences could only make it worse :( if u still decide two double ur sciences then I will say Chem & Micro together, AnP I in summer and then AnP II. Good luck!!!

Hey Rossy,

I deleted all my old messages and am on FB haitus right now. I am so confused on what to do. Chem did not work out for me this fall so I am now having to take 4 sciences by the end of Dec 12, well to meet my target date! I have no clue what to do except double up! I was told I have to take Chem before or with AP 1. Please help :)

like I've told other people who have asked, it all depends on what kind of student you are. I doubled up on sciences in the summer along with other classes and did great but that's not the case for everyone. If you took chem. and had trouble with it this semester, I would not double up on sciences unless you are willing to commit to studying, especially since science GPA is 50% of overall score.

I wouldn't seek advice from others, bur go with your gut. Some people can take heavy course loads and some can't, its all up to the individual person. Don't rush. Nursing school is very competitive to get in to and when You are in, its even tougher.

I did not drop Chem, instead I did not take it based on professor reviews. ***** was reviewed as the worst teacher and some of the people who said she was totally unrealistic in her expectations were nursing students. When a BSN student took her class as their last science and dropped it 3 weeks in, a HUGE red flag went up! At that point, there were no other classes. Sure I could have tried but with a review like that and not being able to drop classes at all, I opted to not take the class at all this semester. I ask for help from those who have gone thru this in an effort to avoid a mistake is all. I think professors also make a difference. Someone who is hard but good is different than someone who is just hard. Does that make sense? I am aware that this is a hard road and appreciate any input. In no am I looking for the easy way. I just appreciate the input from those who have been where I am headed.
