I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

@ Tx - its a Greys Anatomy princess cut type one. I just know its a med and I like the length on it.

@ Rossy - Scrubs Etc told me they just had a sale last weekend but they do give 15% off for TCC students! If they do have another sale before Jan then that would be even better.

I didn't know about the 15% off for students! As long as I save some money, I am happy :) Greys Anatomy is my favorite brand do you know what will the color name for that brand?

I loved the grey's anatomy scrubs! but Just ended up buying the Cherokee ones cause they were a good deal. Maybe later on in the program ill do an "upgrade" lol

I plan on buying a pair of Cherokee or Dickies as my other uniform. I wear Cherokee to work. I am worried how well all this white will hold up for us. I already tried on my whole uniform, stethescope and all. I remember one day about a year and a half ago I saw a girl at the SE campus wearing our uniform and I was just wishing one day I would be so lucky. I am so glad this day has finally come for us!!!!!

yeah, the whites are what worry me. Especially if they get stained or something that would really suck. I like the dickies scrubs cause they are pretty thick. if they are anything like the denim they sell then they will literally last for years. The website where I bought my scrub tops has dickies for 35% off right now. The Cherokees , I got them for 9.60 onsale from Scrubs etc.

I know how you feel. Honestly I didn't think I would be in this position right now. I originally started school for an Engineering degree, but I am SO GLAD, I decided to listen to myself and not others and go in to nursing. No one in.my family knows I applied and was accepted in to the program, they are not as supportive as I thought they would be cause I was basically a "lost cause" after I got pregnant.. but all I can say is that I'm very happy and excited for not just myself but for all of us.

@student213... I have the Grey's Anatomy princess cut lab coat also! I bought it last semester for microbiology lab, and I love it so much that I'm going to use it for nursing too. It really is a great fitting lab coat!

I did some shopping today and so far I have gotten three tops, two bottoms, and two pairs of shoes. It really feels great to put on that uniform! :)

@ Rossy - yes, A girl at my work is in the program and that is the exact top that she wears. It's really cute and has tabs on the back so you can adjust it to fit. I was actually looking for one like that.

Hi all...I got a stupid question. Maybe...

What is the color of scrub are we support to wear? like top and bottom. I know it support to be V-neck and the lab coat suppose to be white. I really don't know what color for the shirt and pant.

@LN- white v-neck scrub tops, white shoes, teal scrub pants. if we wear a shirt under our scrubs, has to be unadorned and white.

Hi all, ive been reading your posts late at night. I have had lots of family visit here the last two weeks and I am glad to say that they have scooted off so I can concentrate on what I need to do for nursing school. Anyway, I have been looking through our paperwork today and making lists. I am trying to get an idea of what kind of schedule we will have. As I understand it, we are going to have nursing skills theory class, a foundations theory class and a foundations clinical every week? Is that right???
