I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
I was accepted to the nursing program last app period. Our schedules were posted at the campus and we were able to go up there and look at them. They may do it differently this time because of security at the TREC campus or something. I can't remember when we found out our schedules, but it was before orientation. I knew my schedule before my CPR class as well (I did it through TNSA). One plus about doing it through TNSA is that you will be with other nursing students and may make some friends before school starts. :) Anyway, if you didn't get your answer about the skills pack, it has to be paid for at business services. You will take your receipt to orientation and pick up your skills pack then. It's a huge bag full of all sorts of stuff... needles, syringes, gloves, all sorts of fun stuff! Congrats again to all of you. It's very exciting!! Try not to stress over this stuff too much, you will have plenty to stress about when school starts!!
@ LNTCCD - alright!! Another Arlington person. What part do you live in? I live over by the highlands. I feel honored just to be accepted and I will gladly take any schedule I get but it would be extra nice to have a clinical with someone from our group!
I went to a uniform shop and got a set of scrubs today!! Putting on that uniform felt really good! Sadly though I had to leave my top so they could see on the patch.
I went to PRN uniform in Arlington and they give TCCD student a 10% discount and see on the patch for $1.00. They didn't have a Hugh selection though. Still shopping for another set.
Can anyone recommend a uniform shop that has had a good selection. Location doesn't really matter since I live on one corner of the tarrany county and work in the farthest other corner away, lol. Pretty much everything is on my way home.
@Rossy- those are cute! The only concern i would have is if one of the instructors would say something about it not covering the entire foot.. but i like those!
Vanillacupcake- congrats on the wait list! #6 is awesome! Like i said before, i have a feeling we will all be at orientation next month!
@studentCL2009- oooohhh!! The nursing pack sounds alot like my first aid kit at home..lol exciting!

Scrubs Etc! They have many different locations.. you could seriously get lost in there, tons and tons of scrubs!!! I even got tired of looking after an hour and i barely went through half of the store!
