I'm at HPB looking through their selection of nursing textbooks. the information in these books=aammaazzinnggg!! I'm geekin out about it!

Hi all,

Just get back from TR campus. Finally, got some work done. Get 4 patches and order 2 name tags. That cost me $35.00... The name tags will take a week for them to come in. Also, I check with an Advisor, They accept my CPR since I took them in August. I took my CPR class at NE campus. Be sure the CPR said "Healthcare Provider" on it and by American Heart Association. We can finish other form such as health form, background check, buying scrub, etc. However, leave the urine drug test last and do it during the time request. About purchase the book, Be sure to check with the instructor. I talk to the Bookstore manager and she said that Nursing instructor might change the book. It is a good idea to wait couple week so they have the correct information and we can purchase the correct one.

One more thing...The advisor told me that they are working with people that accept into the nursing program right now and made sure all the paper work sent out. They properly working on the alternate list next week cause they will know how many slot available after all the accept applicant turn in their paper work. So this is how it go... Accept Applicant first, then Alternate List, then the decline will follow after that.

OMG....... :yeah:I just received an email and I have been placed on the alternate list. The person I spoke to last week said they selected the top 100 thus far and will select 20 alternates. I'm not sure if that has changed but am curious where I am on the list. I just emailed her.

I am going to look forward to more sleepless nights until I know for sure either way. However, I am thankful I am still in the running. Thank you for the support and kind words and will keep you posted. I will really need a drink after this wait....

I purchased my two magnetic name tags today as well, and she told me two weeks! LOL I forgot to grab another patch but I can do that next week. Hoping I can go ahead and pay the other stuff then as well.

I know. thank you for the positive thinking! Do you even know how hard it has been? I am proof it's not over yet. So any others out there waiting fingers crossed.

Oh, and I haven't been sleeping well either. Just so dang anxious (excited) and a little terrified. Took a sleep aid a couple of nights last week....didn't help. :(
