Tarrant County Spring 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

LOL @carrie- I try not to think about it as much, and be as productive as I can. Workout everyday, do some shopping, etc. It sort of seems like its going by fairly quick, by this time next week, it will be the middle of october, then theres halloween, and then thanksgiving. I havent even started christmaws shopping yet! Im ususlly done by halloween!! haha

We say that time is going by slow now, but wait until we can't get it to slow down.

Yes TX... I agree... I just felt like venting...LOL I will feel better when we hit the beginning of Nov I think.. :) I hope everyone is doing well. Guess we will all be "talking" more as we get closer.

We have made it through 1 week!!!!

I don't want to seem nosy or anything but I was just wondering what everyones gpa and hesi scores look like? Also, if you are not accepted into the program what is your plan B? Lastly, what is your guess of when the letters will go out?

My gpa is a 3.5 and my hesi score is a 91%. Plan B is to take a class over to get a higher gpa for next time. My guess is Nov. 15th. :)

My science GPA is 3.75. My HESI score is 94.5%.

I will be retaking A&P 2 if I do not get in. A&P 2 is the only class I did not get an A and I had an 89.2. It makes me sad to think how close I was to a 4.0 science GPA!! :crying2:

Oh, and I am guessing that the letters will be mailed towards the very end of November.

My GPA is 4.0 and my Hesi score was 94 with A's in all sections.

I think if it is really 50/50 Hesi score and GPA and there are 4 sections on the HESI and four science classes they may just give us point for A's, B's etc to all 8 sections and total those up...if that is the case I think if would really help those with lower GPAs because a 3.75 with 4 A's on the Hesi would be just as good as a 4.0 with 3 A and one B on the HESI. LOL. Just a thought. My plan be is going to Weatherford since I already got accepted. There would be not point for me to reapply with TCC...I dont think I could do better then my current scores. Oh, and I think the letters will come on 11/2 so everyone be ready. :)

I hope we ALL get those big fat white envelopes!!!! We already ready have quite the study group here!

My science GPA is a 3.75 and I made a 94% on the HESI with an A in all the sections. If I don't get in this time around, I am going to retake chemistry next semester.

I really like Student's rationale for scoring, it certainly makes a lot of sense.

In the previous semesters, nursing hopefuls received "the envelope" in the first week and half to two weeks in November. I'm hoping that because they have enacted a more streamlined application system, we'll receive word even earlier. Soooo my guess is November 4th.

It would definitely be ah-mah-zing if we all got in!

My science GPA is 4.0 and my HESI score is 97.5. I don't really have much of a plan B. If I didn't get in, I would probably just try again next semester, because I almost feel like if I retook the HESI, I would get a lower score.

As far as when we all get those acceptance letters... I am trying not to guess much at it. I don't want to be disappointed if they are too slow! :) Early November would be awesome though... that means we're almost there!

I have a 3.75 science GPA and only a 93.5 HESI...... I'm hoping that's enough. If I don't get in I would probably re-take Chemistry so I could get an A....and I think we will get our letters in the next 4 weeks..... By Nov 10!

So, I got a letter from TCC yesterday. It came in a small envelope. :(

It was a refund check. :)

What a scare!

Oh no! At least there was money in the envelope to help make up for the scare!
