U.S.A. Texas

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

Hahaha... Yes, we did notice those stairs!! I feel sorry for the tour guides!

the campus sounds so awesome guys! YAY for stairs! just means that will give us our daily workouts! I'll be sure to carry some icey-hot in my first aid kit in the event that one of us pulls a hammy...haha!:D

Im kind of bleh after hearing all of the nursing exams are going to be via computer. I know their trying to keep up in the technology but I have a hard time with taking tests on a computer, my eyes just strain so bad and I just completely lose focus. I'm much better with pencil and paper..but I will do what I have to.

@Katie- I think we ALL hope we get accepted, but like I said, until we get those envelopes, for all we know, we are all in.

I'd really like to be a fly on the wall in the room where the selection committee meets. See exactly how they determine everything. Then again, maybe not if I'm not selected.

Anyone else had a guilty conscience lately?....I feel like when I get home from work that I should be studying SOMETHING! It's nice not having classes this fall, but I almost got used to the daily grind of knocking out a couple chapter's worth of flash cards or something. I guess I'll have plenty of that over the next 2 years of nusing classes! possitive thinking.

Specializes in Oncology.

It's really nice having a little extra time. Sometimes I feel like there is surely something I should be doing, though. That's ok! I plan to enjoy all of it and take some time off of work later this month to just relax. I keep thinking that if I get in, I won't have a day to myself for two years, since I will need to keep working. Going to enjoy the free time while it lasts!

@jefe- I know EXACTLY how you feel!! its like a feeling of withdrawal haha! its funny how we say it now but when we're doing the work we're like " when will it end!!!!" my desk is littered with flashcards from previous courses. I know there are atleast 1200 of them if.not more but I can't seem to part with them..lol!

I'm trying not to worry so much about the selection process. I don't want to over load myself with stress. and anxiety. I'm trying to make the best of my free time for now lol.

JefeLeBron - Wow... That is exacly how I feel. This is the first semester I had off in a LONG time.

This free time is definitely great though.... Not complaining.

Ditto to all! I went Fall 10, wintermester, spring 11, maymester, summer I and summer II and had a baby 8/8/2011! It's nice to have a break from studying but not much free time around here! haha:)

ajkstief - Congrats on the baby. Enjoy the months before we get into the nursing program with that bundle of joy!
