I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
What the fudge??? That's ridiculous! Have you talked to the nursing depth. About it? I know a lot of us are depending on FA.
I sure did call, and she is the one that told me it would drop later. HOWEVER if they get us petitioned by Monday or Tuesday it may all work out. My concern is that all aid is applied tomorrow to your tuition and then the balance is sent to you on Wednesday. So if we're not registered tomorrow when that happens, what does that mean? That we have to wait until the 18th to get our money? This is BS. If it takes that long we are almost forced into purchasing our books from TCC and spending twice as much than if we'd had the opportunity to purchase online.
My stethoscope just came! It's sooooooooo pretty!! LOL I must say that I am so glad I went ahead and purchased the Classic II SE - it's super lightweight. Especially compared to the one I bought for my son for $10 that is really bulky. Oh well, he loves it and is trying to listen to everything with it. :-)

Well I was just informed by NE campus, where my aid is for this semester (which TREC later said was incorrect) that if I wasn't registered for half-time, six hours, by Wednesday that I would NOT get my aid. I am so panicked right now. TREC said that even if that was the case it would drop a week later, AFTER CLASS STARTS. So super panic. That means I wouldn't be able to purchase any of my books until after we'd already begun!! She says that the instructors know this but I don't think that is right. A lot of us depend on financial aid to attend school and I realize that this is the first semester where we have to go through this petition thing but it could potentially hinder a lot of us.
I'm really frustrated with this.
