I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

@jefe - i believe she is correct. I remember talking to one of the nursing students while we were getting our skills kit, and she showed us her ID, she HAS a horizontal TCC ID with a punched hole in it. So if we already have one, we don't need to get a new one.

and i talked to the nursing dept. today, anyone who has been emailing in their forms and documents for you file, they will not be opening and sorting through them until probably the end of NEXT week. But you can call to verify that they have received them, and if there is anything missing they will let you know.

Cross- when I ordered from medisave I actually got my package a day earlier than estimated, so keep an eye out for it, AND they require someone there to accept the package, They wont leave it at your door, you'll have to pick it up at the post office....

I really hope that happens because it's supposed to arrive Saturday and I'll be gone all day. And I had it done through FedEx. Shucks.

Today I received my FA letter regarding my giftcard for books, which I could pick up tomorrow and go ahead and purchase some of my books IF I was petitioned to register. I'm so worried that by the time they finally get that done it'll be too late for me to do anything. This is super stressful.

seeing how the last day to register for class is next tuesday, i would think so. Hopefully they will email us or something. I just really hate how they are cutting it close to the deadline..

@cross- FA gave you a giftcard for books?

my steth came via USPS, so maybe fedex will leave it at your door, or maybe you can leave a note to see if they will leave it with a neighbor. Worst case scenario is that you will have to go pick it up at the FedEx base.

Tomorrow is the last day for drug tests so hopefully they will get results by monday so we can register.

@jefe, if u have a student ID already you do not need a new one. Just bring the old one where they take the pictures so they can punch a hole in it.I spoke to Dana today and she said we should be able to register no later than Wednesday. They will not email or contact anyone unless something is missing in their files, which they are going through this week.

@txhusker - yes it's part of it, but you have to actually be registered in order to pick it up. It's a small amount but enough to take care of some of my books and I need all the help I can get at this point. LOL

@cross I receive fa as well and I've never heard of a gift card for books is that something you you have to register for I'm asking because that would be great help for me as I need to buy some book but have the money now

something is better than nothing! I would take whatever help i could get, since books are so expensive! Im ordering the rest of my reference books tomorrow, i just got done reading for Theory. I noticed to takes me a while to read cause I read and take notes at the same time. After grey's anatomy :loveya:, ill start reading for clinical, LOL.

My husband, son and I are glued to Grey's right how. LOLThe gift card was awarded at NE campus as part of my FA, I didn't apply for it or anything it was just included in my award letter. Since I won't be there at NE anymore this will probably be my last semester to get it. I can't buy any books until I get the FA money so I'm getting a little worried that I'll be behind.
